I change the time on the clock but when I turn the motor off and restart, the time goes back to the original time. How do I get it to keep the time after I change it?

does cigarette lighter work you most likely have a blown fuse in the memory of clock it is part of the stereo but has 2 fuses that function it, power and memory. If its in the radio/clock all presets on radio usually go out to, look for blown fuse.

Resetting clock on truck stereo

The Kenwood KDC-MP335 is an aftermarket car radio that's available for many cars and trucks. The radio unit comes with a built-in digital clock. If your clock is showing the wrong time, all you need to do is enter the radio's clock-setting mode to correct the time and set the clock.------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do my settings reset in aftermarket stereo of my 92 mercury cougar

As well as the normal 12 volt line form the ignition switch, there is a 'permanently on' 12 volt lead, which keeps the clock and memories going even when the ignition is turned off. It sounds like the installer has missed connecting this one.

Clarion NZ500 installed - will not retain any settings each time it is turned off and on (i.e., radio station settings, volume, etc.)..

Check if the yellow wire is connected to a 12 volt direct source, because this wire feed the memory back up of the stereo good luck

Cd changer not playing

Check fuses. There are two fuses to this stereo. One that hold memory for the clock and stereo preset buttons and one for turning the stereo on. There are usually two fuse boxes, on inside the vehicle and one under the hood near the car's battery. Again, check ALL fuses. One is usually labeled for the radio/stereo, the other is not.
As for the CD changer, disconnect one of the main car battery terminals for several minutes. This is easier then removing the changer and acts as a reset. Possibley bringing the changer back to working condition. Otherwise, this could be a repair issue, see www.carstereohelp.com
