1. First, make sure the power is turned off. 2. If the bulb is being used for some time, then let the bulb to cool as it will be really hot to handle. 3. If the bulb is too high for you to reach, use a step ladder to safely reach the bulb and remove the bulb. There are two types of bulb mountings: a) Screw Fitting (common in Europe)
Keep turning the bulb anti-clockwise gently until the bulb comes loose from the socket. b) Bayonet Mount (two prongs, standard)
Grasp the bulb lightly but firmly, push upwards gently and turn anticlockwise until it is released from the socket. 4. Insert the replacement bulb lightly but firmly into the socket. Depending on the type, turn it clockwise until it locks into place or keep gently twisting clockwise until it won't go any further. 5. Once the bulb is in, restore the power back on and switch on the light. 6. The old bulb needs to be disposed of safely as the glass is fragile and very sharp. Use the packaging from the new bulb to wrap the old one for safe disposal. PRECAUTIONS
1. Check the wattage on the used bulb and replace it with a bulb of the same wattage. 2. Dispose of the bulb well out of the reach of children 3. Don't put your fingers in the exposed light socket
Even after bulb change, do all lamps work? Bad ground can be shown by weak or dim bulb sometimes and this can cause fast flashing. All bulbs which flash must be working and of normal brightness which is sometimes hard to tell when they blink really fast.
Hi, the fact they do *** on is good, but as this is intermitant fault its a bit of a pain, first off i would check all the bulbs are all the same wattage, and that is the same as the wattage on the flasher relay, this is normaly written or embossed on the relay, and may say 2x 21 watt, if this is the case the bulbs must be 21watt, if it says 2x 5or 10 or 15 then the watage must corespond buld and relay, a higher wattage would cause the light not to flash, and a lower wattage would cause the light to flash to quickly
Check to see if you have a bulb burnt out in either the front or back, that is usually the problem. If that is not it, it may be electrical and I would contact a mechanic to fix it. Good Luck!
Better clean up the base of the BULB, that fast blinking means ground line is not supplying.
Check also the specs of the BULB, it might have different wattage w/ the original!
