Hope your under warranty mate and if so hope its not in Australia as they cannot fix this problem. My denon was allegedly fixed twice but has now failed a third time (just out of warranty) and denon have turned their back on me. SHAME ON YOU DENON.

Base
from the description of your problem it seems that your PS3 encounter a
overheating issue that leads to a hardware failure, but we can still
try to do a reset here and see if that corrects the problem.
You
can perform a reset by holding down the Power button for about 10
seconds. The power light should turn red, then you can let go of the
button. Your PS3 has been reset, try to power on the unit normally to see if your problems persist.
If
still same problem have your PS3 check from a service center or contact
Sony for repair or replacement if its still under warranty.
Annoying! happens to us too frequently, but this works. We ended up buying a new one and returning our broken one after owning for three months

5. Turn on the Nursery Unit using the On/Off switch on the side. The green power light should come on.
6. Within a few seconds, the Parent Unit will lock on to the Nursery Unit and the top four (4) green LEDs will shut off.
A second later, you will hear a series of beeps and the connection LED should change from red to green. Your monitor is now
ready for use.
7. If the top four (4) LEDs do not shut off, power off the Parent Unit and the Nursery Unit and repeat steps 4 and 5 above.
8. If the connection LED on the Parent Unit does not change from red to green and the unit begins to beep, press the
channel "ch" button on the Nursery Unit. Within a few seconds, the Parent Unit should lock in on the Nursery Unit and
the connection LED should change from red to green. You may hear an audible beep during this process.
9. If the Parent Unit is still unable to lock in on the Nursery Unit (connection LED will be red and the unit will beep), power down
both the Parent Unit and the Nursery Unit. Wait for 10 seconds then hold the volume down button on the Parent Unit while
pressing the On/Off switch. When the unit powers up, you will hear a single beep and all of the soundlights will illuminate.
Release the volume down switch and within 2 seconds you will hear two beeps and all of the Sound Light LEDs will stay lit and
the bottom LED will be red.
10. Repeat steps 5
the green light only stays on for a few seconds with the surf, then shuts off. this is just the unit showing responce to the press of the button. if you press the on button and no lights come on it usally means the unit is dead.
Have you checked the filters? I have a Sanyo PLV-75 and had a similar problem. The normal fan would come on when the unit was first started, then after a few seconds the secondary fan came on and then the unit would shut down. Called tech support and they asked if I had cleaned the filters. I did it, and it worked great. Check the manual for where the filters are and hit them first before getting a new bulb. Hope it helps!
i have a denon 1720 dvd player. When you press the power button it comes on for 3 seconds then the power button turns back red and powers off. If you press the eject button within the 3 seconds the tray opens and the power button stays green. As soon as you close the tray the power agin goes to red. i have a denon 1720 dvd player. i have the problem when i turn power on 2 green wash cycle lights plus the red lid lock stay on with constant beeping every second then when i push the start button the 2 green lights go out and the red lid lock light stays on but no beeps please help
Hold the power button on the console for 4 seconds, it should override everything keeping it on and the light will turn red. If this doesn't work sorry, thats all I know.
