We have a GE Profile Arctica PSW26PS side by side stainless refrigerator. The freezer is working fine, but the fridge side is not cold and temperature keeps rising even though it is set at 35 degrees F. We have unplugged it and there is no frost on the back of the freezer. What might the problem be?

Put your hand up to the vent in the fresh foods side and see if you can feel any air flow. If not, it could be your damper or the evaporator fan. Usually, on your model, the damper breaks and stays open, freezing your fresh foods. But, who knows, it might have stuck in the closed position.

Freezer not working, fringe stays cold but freezer will not freeze

Tell me what the temperature is in your freezer. The freezer in a PSW26PS must work to keep the fresh food section cool. I would have a look at the defrost heater before I would give up on this problem. I do not deny that it is possible but it is more likely a defrost problem and if the model is a PSW26PS the defrost heater, defrost thermostat or the mother control board are the likely reason and in that order, Sea Breeze

Unplug / Replug the fridge. If doesn't work might be the mother board in back.
