I need instructions on how to use my viper 5101 remorte starter

on remote press the middle button for 15 sec. after three flashes on remote, put key in ignition and turn ignition on but dont start it. press button on antenna, release and then hold until horn honks or led flashes on antenna. lastly press lock within 5 sec

Go to autozone dot com and make a free account, then put in the year and make and model, look for the free repair guides and then go to the electrical diagrams.

The problem you are having is not in programming. It sounds like when the starter was installed it was never installed to power up your accessories in your car. You have to just find what wire it is at your key cylinder and hook it up.

It probably needs to be re-programed

You will need some type of interface module to bypass the transponder in the key inorder for the remote start to turn on the van.

First off, is it in neutral? It can't engage the starter motor if it's in gear. Secondly, If it was professionally installed, why not just take it back and demand that they fix it?

Your wiring should somewhat match this.
