How to rebild carb and replace - F-100 Ford Cars & Trucks

if you have replaced the speed sensor then i would think the problem lies in the wring as you seem to think also, you could try to fault find the problem or just change the wiring harness , both i would imagine are a laborious task , i would start removing the harness , paying close attention where each connector goes and as removing harness check for any damage etc you may find the problem wire/connector before you get harness completely out ,if no visable fault carry on with the new replacement. This code is triggered when NO signal is received by the ECU/PCM , so a close inspection of the speed sensor wiring and mounting would be the first step , good luck

Come back with the following info. Cam belt, gear driven, inline pump, rotary pump, common rail and I may be able to help as everthing is different for each set up

If its liking from where the 4 scrwes are? U just remuve those 4 nuts, clean the cap and the gearbox, and install th new seal. If is liking from semewhere alse. It will be an O-ring and u have to take it all appart and rebild it. The new gearbox cost only$90.00 u can replesed th whole thing better. Good look

well you didn't say what year it was , keeping that in mind I will try to respond with the info you did give. Generally the Chevy vans have a coil mounted in the distributor itself, so having spark comming from the coil would mean it is not flowing through the rotor to the plug wires..... not sounding right to me either,... Possibly just a bad Distributor cap unless you have already replaced it. So I would have you look at the Ignition module first and the pick up coil second.. not mush else it could be ( ruling out a broken timing chain ) If it is a newer vehicle , it may have a crank position sensor failing or ecm.

A transmition rebild runs around 2,000 or more

you may want to get an *** import motor as it will be much cheaper than a rebuild,especially if youre not keeping the car for 7 or 8 years,rebuild will cost $1,550 plus a whole decent engine will cost $500 or so

Hi , you need to change the oil filter in the auto drive and use a good type oil ie elf matic If the oil is black or very dark exspect to have a rebild, the oil should be changed every 12 monthes to keep the box in tip top condition.

Sam so right now you have crank no start,or no crank , no start. Not clear.
If its no crank no start.Your looking at battery, cables, ignition switch , starter relay.
If its crank no start, you know that B+ is making it to starter. Ok now listen for fuel pump to buzz or hum when you put key in ignition and turn to on position. No buzzing or humming fuel pump or relay.
make a set of jumper cables run them from battery to fuel pump, Does the pump run? If yes. The pump is good relay is not. If pump doesn't run then its the pump. Remember when you do this test you don't need the key in ignition Battery doesn't have to be connected, because your bypassing the control circuit.

This is most likely a major problem such as a broken band in the tranny. Sorry.
