I inserted new batteries in the camera but it won't turn on

Make sure the battery is installed correctly.Try opening, then closing the cover to the memory card and battery compartment while holding pressure against it until you hear it click closed. Then try to power it up. The camera will not power up if the cover is not properly closed.

Pleaseremove the Battery from the camera and give a look inside the batterycompartment. If this camera takes ordinary batteries you may have inserted them the wrong way around.
If it takes a rechargeable pack recharge it for average time recommended and try again.

Does it take standard disposable batteries or a rechargeable pack?
If the first, check they are inserted correctly as per the illustration in the battery compartment or instruction manual section on inserting batteries.
If the second type, recharge the pack.
If problem continues check Troubleshooting section of manual or online at Samsung's website.

This problem occurs when your camera has weak batteries or the wall outlet is not working. Try to change your batteries or just try another wall outlet for adapter/charger. Also, make sure that the battery is inserted properly.
