Hi nkorear, i am relay happy to help you in this problem but i need some
brief details of your system ( what is your os , are you using on board
sound card r external sound card ) but if you can you provide to me are i
will give you perfect solution or else i will give you some basic
normal problem solutions base on sound device.
Step1 : First of
all check what is your default audio device setting. For this, open
Control Panel > Sounds and audio devices, open Audio tab
See
that the Device selected is your sound-card or on-board audio device. It
should not be blank or some modem device. Set the Default sound
playback and sound recording device correctly from the drop down menu.
If your device is not there in this list see the step 2.
Step2: If the step 1 is not successful, it means that your sound device software has become either corrupt or has been accidentally un-installed. In
such case, install the sound driver from the sound-card/mother-board
driver CD. You can also download the latest driver if you don't have the
driver CD. After you install the driver, restart your computer, and
then check the settings as in step 1 again.
If neither of step not work, its mean your sound card is corrupted , i can give you two option for that
option
one : internal sound card , you can buy one and give to your
motherboard wight color install the drive you can get back your sound as
good as old price range form 6$
option two : external sound card
. now usb sound card is available in market u can use them too its very
easy to install and use ( but quality will be low) price range form 3$
