Have a Raymarine C60 Chartplotter w/ GPS. I am trying to install a new Standard Horizon radio that has GPS. I have taped the wires, red; yellow; and bare into the wires leading to the GPS. When I connect them, the Chartplotter shows the GPS signal lost. Do I need to use an interface block of some type? All the leads from the GPS now, come out of this block, one from the GPS unit, one to the C60 Chartplotter, and one to the Autopilot. Also the power to the GPS is shared by the Autopilot, same cir’t breaker. Can you help me?

SOURCE: standard horizon 155c not acquiring signal

If the signal is good statement seems to imply that it is working, perhaps this is my misinterpretation of what you mean by this.
Signal refers to the abi;ity to connect to satellites
4 are requied for triangulation.
If the unit is fully charged and not connecting , then it is quite possible that the unit has a damaged SIIRF chip or whatever chip was used in your model to acquire satellite connection. The cost of repair is costly, it means total replacement of the M/Board.
Never start car with the unit connected into DC car power, spikes will damage the chip

If your old antena is a Seatalk or NMEA antena you can use it for your C80
If you GPS antenna is older than five year change it.

Charts won't load on raymarine e80 chart plotter

If you are having trouble loading charts on your Raymarine E80 chartplotter, there are several things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the chart card: Make sure that the chart card is inserted correctly and that it is compatible with your chartplotter. Some chartplotters require specific types of chart cards, so check the user manual or contact the manufacturer to ensure compatibility.
2. Check for software updates: Make sure that your chartplotter has the latest software updates installed. You can check for updates on the Raymarine website or by contacting customer support.
3. Check the chart source: Make sure that the chart source is set correctly on your chartplotter. If you have multiple chart sources (e.g. internal memory, external card), make sure that the correct source is selected.
4. Check the chart format: Make sure that the chart format is compatible with your chartplotter. Some chartplotters only support certain chart formats, so check the user manual or contact the manufacturer for compatibility information.
5. Check for obstructions: Make sure that there are no obstructions blocking the GPS antenna or interfering with the chartplotter's reception. Obstructions can include tall buildings, trees, and other objects that block the line of sight to the GPS satellites.
6. Reset the chartplotter: Try resetting the chartplotter to its default settings. This can sometimes clear up software glitches or other issues that may be preventing the charts from loading.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact Raymarine customer support for further assistance or repair.

Take care and have a great day! -Alex

Raymarine a50d continuously resetting itself?

If there's a memory card installed for maps, try starting up the unit with it removed. It's possible that the card might be corrupted and stalling the start-up sequence.

Need to reconnect a c-80 system. I think the MFD, radar, GPS, and depthsounder are connected via Seatalk

I think your best bet here would be to post your query on the Raymarine forum.

There are actual technicians over there to look after you.

MY RAYMARINE A65 CHART PLOTTER/ FISHFINDER HAS NOT BEEN WORKING , THE CHARTPLOTTER WORKS FINE , BUT THE FISH FINDER WONT PULL UP BOTTOM OR ANYTHING . I LOOKED AT THE LITTLE BOX THAT CONNECTS TO THE...

Likely your DSM25 (that little box that connects the transducer to the display) will need to be rebuilt. The red LED is saying that there is an internal fault with the unit. You would need to send the unit in for repair through Raymarine (as there really is not anyone else who can do it), and they would have to replace the main circuit card in the box. I believe that they are charging either $150 or $175 to repair those now... but likely the only way you will get that one to work again.

Sea talk failure

Remove all wiring from 4000 head, hook up only 12V, if seatalk fail continues, it is the head. if seatalk fail goes away, hook in instruments one by one until the bad head is found. Seatalk is 12V red, Ground Screen(bare wire) and Data yellow (pulsing voltage). good luck 847-746-0100 John Barry

GPS antenna

If it is an RS 120 or an RS112 antenna you do not need to change it.These are both active antennas in other words they do all the gps computing in the unit itself. You need to look at the wire from the antenna. If it is a coax cable(2 wire) it will not work.If it is 3 or 4 wires it will work. If 3 wire (red ,silver yellow) just hook up color for color. If 4 wire you are going to have to figure out the wiring for it from the units wiring diagram. That could be a big enough pain that you might be inclined to change to the new antenna. If you wire the new RS125 antenna you must wire it to the seatalk buss. The seatalk wires are Red Silver and Yellow. The wire from the RS125 are red yellow silver green and brown.Wire as follow to your sea talk cable.Yellow to Yellow, red to red , silver to silver, green to red, brown to silver.
Hope this helps.
