Hello, I own a Pioneer audio receiver SX-311R. The sound will drop out at low volumes, usually from the left channel. It sounds like static or bad radio reception but clears up when the volume is increased. It happens intermittenly and only on low volume. I'd like to repair it. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Mariano

Can I hook my pioneer ax-311r stereo receiver to Samsung Tv and surround sounds.

Hello Bernard, your Pioneer AX-311, is a two-channel, stereo amplifier, you can connect your Samsung TV, if it has audio output L and R, to an input of the Pioneer, say for the AUX input, what will get, is to listen to the sound of the TV in your Pioneer, in stereo, two channels, you can not have surround sound, because your Pioneer does not have that benefit
At the most, you can hear the sound of Samsung on the TV and the amplifier simultaneously, and you will hear a sound delay between the Pioneer and the Samsung
I hope my answer was useful

I am not getting equal sound from right as I am on left. The right is a little less on volume and wattage meter, when I balance it fully to right and turn the volume up, the sound gets static and scrat

Check your connecting terminals on both ends for that channel that the polarity is correct and firmly connected. If you find no problem with that, then swap the connections...if the problem repeats to the other side then the speaker is damaged. If the problem stays on right side then it is the unit and needs to be investigated further.

My Pioneer SX-780 Receiver has very low volume and distorted. Are the output IC Amps bad? They use (2) STK-0050

A little more triage would be in order before you take a knife to it. What source(s) produce the distorted sound? How about test tones? Same? It's sick. Not same? Something else is going on. Have you referred to the manual(s)?

Str-gx800es sony receiver problem- right channel speaker sound is 'static', low and distorted. I have checked checked all speaker and output/input source cable connections with no luck. All left channel...

If you have checked the speakers and wiring, the right channel has a audio driver or output problem, which explains the low volume, static, and distortion. A service technician will be required to fix the receiver so it will balance the left side.

I have a Pioneer Audio Multi Channel Receiver model SX-316-S and I can't seem to figure out how to hook up my TV and DVD to the receiver so that all sound comes through the receiver

DVD audio straight in from its highest quality audio output. Use the stereo audio output to run straight to the TV for casual watching through TV speakers without the Pioneer involved.

A TV is just a glorified night-light, not a sound source - get its related audio from the Cable Box, ditto the highest quality

I have bad static from my Pioneer vsx 49 Elite

sorry no easy solution as it sounds like the output transistors blew out or the emmitter resistors. you will need a service manual and an multimeter to measure the resistors on or around the audio output transistors they are a low value resistor usually around 1 to 2 watts in size. Do not replace any bad , burnt or discolloered resistors around the audio output transistors as if tou do you might just cause more damage to the output transistorsor audio output stage including the audio driver stage of the amp!!!!!!

Pioneer Stero Receiver model SX-3700- Static noice when adjusting the volume control knob

It sounds like your volume control pot has dust in it.You need to remove your cover from the receiver, spray pure denatured alcohol in the small openings in the back of you volume control dial and turn the knob all the way up and down several times and then blow low compressed air threw the same small openings while rotating your dial. That should fix your problem.Be sure you unplug your receiver before performing this procedure.

Low volume from Akai turntable attached to Pioneer Surround Sound Receiver

If you receiver doesn't have phono inputs, you will need to buy an inline phono amplifier.Phono inputs have a built in amplifier, all others don't.Try Crutchfield.com.If they don't carry them, they will tell you who does.
