How do you get flynn to climb rapunzel's hair w/ wii tanlged game? pushing the A button does NOT work!

Once Rapunzel goes to the spot on the ledge with the butterflies and you select A for her to let down her hair, you have to then select Z so that you switch to your Flynn character. There will also be a spot with butterflies below where you have to navigate Flynn over to, then when he is in the right spot, the "A" will pop up, you then hit your A button and he will climb her hair. Note: not all places with butterflies are spots where he can climb her hair. Only areas that have a tree stump jutting out and there are butterflies above and below. Areas with butterflies above and below but DON'T have a tree stump, are areas that Flynn can stand on top of the ledge and Rapunzel stands below and throws her hair up to him. Flynn then can hoist her up.

You have to find a branch hanging off the side of the ledge. Walk over to it until A appears. Then press A and she will tie her hair to it and Flynn can climb up.

you need to try to put new batteries in the remote. and if that does not work, then you need to make sure you are pushing the red button on the wii remote under the battery cover and the button on the wii AT THE SAME EXACT TIME. it would be easier to have you push the remoted red button and have someone else push the red button on the wii. make sure it is at the same time or it will not work.

Had the same problem last night.... Turn off the wii system by unplugging , wait a couple of seconds and plug back in. Next, the front of the wii has a pocket that opens, there is a red button. Put the disc to mario kart in the wii once you see the federal regs push and hold the red button on the wii for 15 seconds then once this 15 seconds is up with the controllers battery case open push the red button to the original controller. All of lights will flash and then stop. Push the red button on the wii console again just once. Then push the red button on the second remote wait till all lights stop flashing push the red button on the console and now they should be married to the wii system. I have found the solution on PC, but i guess it's the same on Wii.
When i have to press Q and E, you don't have to press Q and E alternately but you have to pres Q many times (until the circle is full) and same for the E touch. So i do "Q Q Q Q Q Q Q Q" then "E E E E E E E E E E" etc. I suppose its the same on Wii with A and Z.
I have finished the game, its a good game but not enough "free hunting" according to my point of view.
