You would have to remove the bolt first and then access the drip pan. If you need a replacement drip pan please visit www.ibuygrillparts.com

How do you change the thermocouple or flame sensor

Very simple...
one complete bracket will drop straight down and then pull it out.
two small fasteners hold it in place...
one screw and one sm. nut. Located on the very bottom of inside of heater cabinet, Left side, below the burner tray. Nothin to take apart. Easy peasy.

click the link to go to that page, where you will see a picture of the bracket with the igniter and flame sensor. You will see the stud where you will remove the nut, and you will be able to see the hole where the screw is supposed to be, both securing it to the burner tray.

Kenmore icemaker tray leaking water (model 795.51022.012)

Do the old 'KISS" thing first (keep it simple ......thing). Chances are that there are tiny calcium deposits in the ice tray which makes an ice cube stick in the tray. If one ice cube sticks, the water will overflow as it needs all the trays empty for the filling. The water will drip down into the freezer area causing chunky ice and stalagmites. The calcium deposits are very teeny in size but will hang up an ice cube from dropping. If more than one ice cube (basically all the ice cubes) didn't drop then the heater in that unit that initially gets the ice cubes to drop could be bad.

I've taken the ice cube assembly out and used vinegar with baking soda to dissolve the calcium and that worked. I left it in for a couple of days. "Do NOT" use anything like a knife or whatever to scrape the bottom of the tray as it will destroy the finish and keep the ice cubes sticking.

When I had the warranty service come out, the technician explained what happened to the tray (calcium). He replaced the tray but the next time it happened I used the vinegar and baking soda. I eventually bought a new tray for 1/2 the price on the internet when the problem happened later on in life.

I have a Miele coffe maker and its stuck on empty the drip tray cycle....cannot recognize that the drip tray has been emptied. How can I get out of this mode.?

I just posted this solution in another model.

I have a Miele CVA 4085 built-in coffee maker which had a similar problem to this and other problems where it gets locked into a state where it demands you empty the drip tray even though it is empty. In my case it was at the end of a cleaning cycle and refused to go on. Cutting power and restarting always had it return to the same state: Cleaning, empty drip tray.

I cleaned the contacts on the drip tray and at the back using the nail file, still nothing. Then I found a post on how to get into the programming menu, which on the CVA 4085 is this:
  1. Open the door and switch off the power with the rocker switch on the top left.Wait at least 5 seconds.
  2. Switch the rocker on then VERY QUICKLY close the door and hold the clear button for 5 seconds.
  3. With your other finger touch the ON button then pull both fingers away at the same time.
  4. Do 5 rapid presses of the clear button but hold your finger down on the last press and keep holding it down until the programming menu comes up.
  5. Do not press the reset button that you see at the top of the menu (unless your German is quite good or you have access to Google Translate).
  6. Scroll down until you find the reset cleaning button and select it. Once you have confirmed you can then exit programming mode by powering off.
It took me quite a while to get to this point, but at least I can now recognize the German word for drip tray.

Need instructins for deluxe smoker

I'm answering this specifically for the Australian-made Wild Country deluxe smoker which comes with two spirit burner trays. i.e. NOT with gas fittings, thermometers, or anything else.

I too have one, and it was also missing any instructions.

I suggest the following:
1. Preparation of fish for smoking.
* scale the fish as required
* either fillet or split fish, along dorsal line and clean (skin on, head and tail removed)
* make sure it is dry, e.g. using paper towels
* spinkle liberally with mix of salt, sugar and oil or fat
* refridgerate until ready

2. Assembly for of deluxe smoker for use.
* fill the main tray with two handfulls of sawdust/wood chips for smoking to depth of a few millimeters.
* place the (flat) drip tray on top of the sawdust, feet down
* place the larger of the two racks on the drip tray
* place the first fillet on this, skin down
* balance the 2nd rack on top of the first
* place the second fillet on this one, again skin down
* put the lid on the main tray

3. Smoking:
* prepare the burners, by mostly filling them with white spirits or methylated spirits, and positioning inside the rectangular black burner stand.
* light the burners
* put the closed smoker containing fish on top of the burners
* check fish is cooked through after about 15 minutes
* leave it while the fuel burns out (might take 15-20 minutes - you can also leave it there closed until it cools down)
* carefully remove smoking racks with fish

(PS. Or cheat like I do by simply placing the whole smoker on top of a gas BBQ and don't bother with the spirit burners)

I have a Miehl cva4070. My problem is twofold. 1. The unit seems to have lost its ability to recognize that the Drip Tray has been emptied. I have turned it off and back on, unplugged and restarted,...

take a long fingernail file that is a fine grit. hold it with a pair of needlenose pliers, and use it to clean the contacts in the back of the machine where the drip tray plugs in. You need to clean each contact top and bottom. you can tape the fingernail file to a ruler or pencil or whatever you need to so that you can reach the contacts. it is very tight as the opening is only an inch or so tall. dont go crazy with the file, just lightly touch each contact. also you can swap the two metal contacts on the drip tray. you will notice that they have little wear lines on them that are in different locations. if you swap them , they will be exposed to new surface. if that doesnt work, you may have an internal leak that is shorting the drip tray contacts from the back of the machine. If there is water back there, it is the same as the drip tray being full.

I have aGibsonGMPN 060-3 gas furnace. The ignitor

May have a dirty flame rod. Look in the burner box at either the far right or far left for a probe that sticks in the flame of a burner. There will be only one wire going to it. This rod is a safety sensor that shuts off the gas if it does not sense flame within a few seconds. If you brush off the rod with a toothbrush or Scotch Brite pad it may take care of your problem. If not, make sure the flame travels from burner to burner quickly. The burner tray may need to be brushed off.

My danby air conditioner/dehumidifier model dpac 8399-4 leaks water all over the floor and never fills the holding tanks what can I do to fix this problem?

Probably needs cleaning. I assume it is on a level surface. Water drips from the evaporator coil into a collection tray of some type and then drains into the holding tank, this tray is either broken or the outlet is plugged.
Good Luck,

Ventilation system on Jenn Air CVG4280

My Jenn-Air had the same problem. When you install the drip pan for the burner module, there is a "finger" on the pan that is inserted into a hole in the front of the stove. If you look into that hole, you will see a lever switch. The finger on the drip pan on the burner module is supposed to push that lever switch down and turn the fan off, but over time the lever gets pushed down further and ultimately it does not get activated when the drip pan is installed.

You can either replace the lever switch, or you can try to pull it back into place and tighten the two small screws that hold it in place. Actually, I chose a third option and attached a small, flat spring to the finger on the drip pan.
