Question about U-Line CO2075F-B Echelon Refrigerator Ice Maker Combination

After having the ice maker turned off then turning it back on, the line is frozen. My husband has thawed it several times right above the ice maker near the back and it works O.K. until we turn it off again. He has checked everything listed in the book. Thanks,

Sorry to hear about your problem. Sounds like you have a defrost issue. Hence your unit is not defrosting. All of this apply's if your freezer side has ice on it. If not. you have other issues, this does sound funny, but this is why your refrigerator side is warm, or not cooling.

Here is a list of some things that can go wrong.
1. Defective heat coil
2. Defective defrost timer
3. Defective defrost sensor
4. Defective Fan
5. Defective compartment inlet damper (on some models)

You should call a service company to resolve your issue.

How do you unfreeze a frozen water line to the ice maker
i don't understand what you're discribing but if one of the lines are frozen you can use a hair dryer to melt it,put heat on for like a minute and take it off,you don't want to damage any of the plastic parts.

The front egde of the ice maker overflows into tray and causes big ice block in tray.
Start with changing the water valve in back of box. Take the water line from the valve and blow in to line to see if fill tube is frozen also. If it is take a hairdryer and thaw the fill tube. Turn off the box while thawing tube then turn on. If all this dont fix it time for new maker. But dont replace icemaker till you check the rest because It wont work if the tube is frozen or bad water valve. I hope this helps.

Ice maker not producing ice,already check the basic problems,
The water tube to the icemaker inside the refrig maybe frozen up. Thaw out with your hair dryer. To make sure the tube is clear. Shut of the water to the refrig, disconnect the inlet water line to the icemaker. Insert a flexable through the connector fitting, I used a zip tie. The flexable item should go all the way to the icemaker

Solution #2 Replace the "water inlet valve" at bottom back right of refrig. Easy To Do.

Ice makere is not making ice
Several Solutions.

Icemaker filler tube inside the refrigerator frozen. Thaw out with hair dryer. Shut off water, disconnect water inlet line to the ice maker. Insert a flexable item - I used a zip tie through the inlet linlet fitting to make sure the tube was clear. Re-connect the line and you should have ice soon.

2nd Solution, replace the water inlet valve to the refrig. at bottom back right of refrigerator. Easy To Do.

The ice maker no longer works, plastic line seems
Check the water spout inside the freezer just above the ice tray at the back of the fridge to see if in is blocked with frozen water (ice). If so, you'll have to thaw it and replace it and try again.

I have a Whirlpool refrige. side by side and the ice maker has stopped working. The infrared light keeps blinking. I have unplugged it a couple of times as well as turned the infrared off. Any advice?
The laser , is supposed to blink . This laser , tells the icemaker to stop making ice , when the bin is full . Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the icemaker . If it doesn't dump the cubes into the bin , the icemaker is bad . Or , if there is ice in the bin , which hasn't dumped , the icemaker is bad . If the icemaker dumps the ice ( from water pour ) , then look above the fill cup , and see if the black fill tube is frozen . If so , then replace the water valve and turn the freezer temp down slightly . It will take several days for this fill line inside freezer to thaw . If icemaker dumps , and black tube NOT frozen , replace the water valve . The valve , is where the wall water line connects to on the refrig

Ice maker not making ice
Water solenoid to ice maker not working. Check with ohm meter..should NOT read open
Water line to Ice maker frozen solid. Look at water inlet to ice maker....is ice present in line?
Evaporator coils frozen over with ice. Will cause water line to freeze and unit will slowly thaw.
Try unplugging the unit for several hours and see if it starts to cool normally again. If it cools normally then check heater element and Defrost Thermostat.

It is quite possible the water line near the ice-maker is frozen. I would try a warm hair drier to thaw it out.

Whirlpool fridge model WF-NL300 ice maker not working. No water in icemaker. Black water supply tube that fills icemaker was frozed solid with ice. I thawed it in a cup of hot water. Unsure if line could...
Turn ice maker off for 24 hours to thaw out any additional frozen lines.
Make sure that you do have water from source to unit. Water valve grit screen may be clogged with debrie or water valve is bad.
