I've downloaded the disk to my hard drive but I can't get it to print. Is there more than a telephone contection between the printer & the computer? My old one had a large cable with many contection points.

Hp colour laserjet 9500hdn has service error 49. FF81

I've seen this exact error a few times on the 4101s & turned out to be a bad EIO hard drive.If you replace the drive, you'll most likely have to download the newest firmware & load it to get every feature back.
You can try & initialize the drive first though:
- Turn off printer
- Press & hold [Start] button
- Turn printer on, wait for all 3 LEDs to stay solid then release button
- Press & release [Left] arrow button (should read "Initialize Disks" on display
- Press & release [Select], then wait for printer to warm up
Listen also to the drive & if you hear it clicking over & over then it's bad & will need replaced.

FUJI XEROX CM205fw can't set custom paper size

So I am not the only one encountering the same problem! Printing A4 & DL are great but it simply does not let me print A6 properly no matter how hard I tried to configure the paper size (at the printer settings, printer preferences, the application settings etc)
Can Fuji Xerox fix this?

Printer does not eject any ink when printing. All ink cartriges are new & full. I've cleaned & deep cleaned the ink heads. I am able to make copies.

if you can make color copies standalone fine then there may be junk files on your pc preventing you from printing.try disk cleanup.

If you were able to print over your network but have suddenly lost this ability Brother has designed a utility to assist in restoring printing capability with minimal user interaction. This utility will automatically locate and update your printer's network address within your printer driver which will restore your printing ability!


This utility is available for Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7.



To download and use the Network Connection Repair Tool, follow the steps below:


1. Make a temporary folder on your computer's hard disk as the location to save this file.


  • Open (My) Computer.


  • Double click on the Hard Disk Drive (ex: Local Disk (x:), where x: is the local hard drive letter)


  • Right click on a blank area of the window and select New => Folder or just click New Folder.


  • Type: Brotemp to rename the folder.


2. Open an Internet browser and browse to the following link. We recommend using Internet Explorer. http://www.brother-usa.com/downloads/


3. Choose your Product Group, Model, and click View.


4. Click on the link under Your Results.


5. Under Step 1: Select OS, select your operating system.


6. Under Step 2: Select Language select your language.


7. Click on the SEARCH button.


8. Scroll down to the "Network Connection Repair Tool" and click on Information & Download


9. Click on the Download button.


10. On the Software End-User License Agreement page click I ACCEPT if you agree to the terms.


11. Click SAVE.


12. You will be prompted to save the file again. Browse to the folder you created earlier. Double click (My) Computer => Local Disk (X:) => Brotemp and click SAVE. The file will download.


13. Once the download is complete, click OPEN FOLDER or browse to the folder where you downloaded this file.


14. Locate and double click on the nettool_XXXX.exe file. A zip self decompression window will launch, click on DECOMPRESS(X).

I`ve just formated usb memory disk and lost all drivers

1. Download this tool:

Therefore, data restoration will be impossible after using this utility!)

I had to do the recovery disk on my computer. Now I have to install the lexmark printer software but no longer have the disk.

Visit the Lexmark website (see Resources). Select "Drivers & Downloads," then "Driver Finder." Enter your printer model in the search box and click "Search." Find your printer on the list and click "Download Driver." Choose your operatingsystemmag-glass_10x10.gif from the drop-down menu, and the browser will automatically redirect to the download page. Click "Download Now," and choose to save the file. Wait for the download to complete before moving on.
NEXT - Open the file that was just downloaded. Walk through the steps in the installer, answering any questions you are prompted with. Setup will begin copying any needed files to the hard drivemag-glass_10x10.gif, which will likely take several minutes to complete. When it has finished, the installer will alert you that the process is complete.
NEXT - Test the printer by clicking "File," then "Print" in a program such as your web browser or word processor. Select the Lexmark printer from the drop-down list, and click "OK" to print. GOOD LUCK

Does not want to print

you need a USB printer cable.. available at any electronics store or even walmart. Here is a link so that you can download the drivers from the internet: please fallow the intruction on the site. The software will tell you when to plug in the USB cable to the computer.

Just click on the link for the appropriate operating system you need: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:525:0:0&emeaframe=&target=http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi&target=http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi&&req=::::: As far as why is it printing purple it could be several reasons but some common ones are; you?ve run out of a particular ink color, one of your ink jets could be clogged or damaged, your cartridge was refilled wrong and on occasionally a software driver gets messed up. Reinstall your printer, do a test and if it still prints purple try running your printers nozzle cleaning utility. If that fails post another questions and give us some history, how long has it been since you?ve printed, are you using new Lexmark or refilled cartridges and any other pertinent information.
