Question about Computers & Internet
Go to the Disktop> click My computer> click Hard disk drive ( C )
then the program files appear >click the program files / select Norton security files and delete...If still there, nothing happens then >re install the OS software its automatically gone..that is what i'm experiencing before...

You can remove it by going to the
control panel>add & remove programs > select program which must be uninstalled ....
this works only if the norton is installed correctly & if none of the files have not got missed or corrupted ...
one more way is just go to the folder where you installed the norton
there you can press uninstall.exe ... by this you can uninstall it ...
this also fine if the none of the files are missing or corrupted ...
if some of files are missing then if you couldnt able to uninstall from both of the above method means then
check whether the entry of the program is available or not in the add / remove programs ...
if it is not available then you can delete the installed folder directly ....
if it is available then you must install the norton again completely then you can uninstall it successfully without any problem from the control panel >add/remove programs ...
any doubts you can reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you
bye

What year version is your Norton Internet Security program? 2008, 2007,...??? Is it called Norton 360? Did it come from our Internet Service Provider or from your computer manufacturer.
Have you tried Add/Remove programs in the control panel? There should also be an uninstall application in the Norton program group in Start->All Programs->Norton...

Many times with Norton it leaves portions behind or just flat won't uninstall. You will need to delete it manually from the program files in the C drive. Then you will need a registry cleaner, CCleaner works well at this, and you can find it at filehippo.com. After deleting and running a cleaner, do an all files and folders search from the start menu. If it finds anything Norton, write down the path, find it and delete it manually again. Then do all of this over until a search yields nothing pertaining to Norton.

Try the step by step instructions http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/341f58b758cb8df0802570f90050c3a6?OpenDocument if that doesn't help you get it uninstalled use the NoNAV tool http://downloads.jmlamb.net/symantec/NoNav2.49.exe I recommend trying to use the uninstall listed on the first site before you rip the guts out of Norton with the NoNAV tool

Hello there.
Norton products are well known for not uninstalling correctly due to various reasons. Luckily Symantec know this and offer an uninstaller utility apart from the one that comes with the software.
Please click here and run the download when it has finished, this will remove the program from your system.
Hope this helps.
