Hi, I have a Samsung TV, model code LE40B530P7WXXU, version SQ01 and after about ninety minutes of a great colour picture, the picture goes to a black and white grainy image. A colour test produces a perfect colour test image, so I'm assuming it's something to do with the external device input, in tis case a SKY plus box. I called Sky and they asked me to change a few settings but in essence a hard re-boot on both the SKY plus box and the TV brought the colour back, but once again only for about ninety minutes again. Any idea on what this could be? Thanks Doug

or if you want to watch local PLEX videos say so. (*.mkv)
I'm pretty sure you meant stream videos not look at DVD.

I have PC (unstated HP ) and want to that with my PC.
The TV is no use, to me or my PC the TV is useless to stream

yes, you connect the PC to your enternet
and go to Neflex.com , log in and bingo but alas the PC screen is dinky do small and buy hdmi cable and connect PC to TV hdmi
and in the TV push (remote inhand) Input select and HDM1 (what you picked) and bingo TV is not large screen to PC.
on HP laptop the hot key is Fn+F4, to use external screens.
if the HP is desktop say so and we can talk that all day, I you want.

the other way, I have 1 TV in the guest room , huge 55"
that is not SMART also, like yours. just has inputs hdmi.
so on goes the ROKU box for $99 and now IT is a smart TV
no PC needed or wanted there.

You have to check and replace the electrolytic capacitor in the power supply board of you tv. some time bad electrolytic capacitors in the power supply can cause power on problems.

you will need the complete model/serial number for proper part#. To locate which fan is problem try watching to see which one is not coming on at start-up.

it will be more economical to replace the whole unit rather than to find & replace the panel

Check its front panel switches for damage. If any one among them has got strucked, this type of fault can occur.
