HotPoint model HSS25GFTBB fridge warm freezer cold?

My 2 yr old Hotpoint side-by-side model HSS25GFTBB seems to be on the fritz...the freezer is nice and cold, but the fridge doesn't seem to be cooling. I unplugged and re-plugged, the compressor ran for a couple minutes and shut off, and it sounds like a fan is running (?) and just continues to run. I checked the coils at the bottom/back of the unit and they were dusty, but not bad. I vacuumed them out...What's my problem? How do i fix it?

same problem. freezer seemed fine, but now I think that it is also getting warmer. cleaned the back, not more dust and no frost on the inside that i can see. can hear it running. help!

Hotpoint fridge problem, warm fride, but freezer working good

Fridge along bottom shelves is much colder than the very top shelf which has milk etc., leading to spoilage. Fridge is at highest setting. In the upper left rear of the fridge compartment, is a cover for what I believe to be a circulatory fan. However, trying to remove this cover is difficult.
It seems that the clip nuts to which the two (2) small capscrews fasten are free wheeling and not allowing me easy access to the motor.

Please advise.

Freezer cold, fridge warm

Hi, You have a self defrosting problem.
Remove the rear inside freezer panel and check continuity on the defrost element and bi-metal switch.The bi-metal has to be tested cold. If there is continuity on both parts, you will need to change the defrost timer.
The most common part that goes bad is the element. I hope this helps you. Please leet me know if I can assist you further.

Hotpoint CTF15ELD top freezer refrigerator - freezer O.K. refrig too warm

It's likely the door was inadvertently left open, and the cold air passages from the freezer have built up enough ice that the cold air from the freezer has no way to enter the refrigerator. Check the cealing of the refrigerator. If you can see or feel ice in the passages between the freezer and fridge, you can probably solve the problem by finding a safe temporary home for your food, and leaving the refrigerator unplugged overnight.

hi thanks for the question you problem could be a no defrost problem remove the floor of the freezer 4 screws lift from back to front remove foam if its all frosted up you have a defrost problem a bad fan motor also can cause this it could also be stuck in ice if so use hair blower and thaw dry it real good re assemble and try again thanks the appliance doc
