If the A/V cable is not inserted far enough into the console, the console might not transmit images or sounds to the screen.

If the screen is still blank, try the next solution.
or

Make sure that the TV or monitor is set to the correct input for the console. Check the TV or monitor user manual to see how to configure the video inputs, or try to use the console on a different TV or monitor.

If the screen is still blank, try the next solution.
or

Make sure that the TV/HDTV switch on the cable is set correctly.

  • For standard-definition TVs with only the yellow connector plugged in, set the switch to TV.
  • For high-definition TVs or monitors with the red, blue, and green connectors plugged in, set the switch toHDTV.

Serial no 359146794305 what is its capacity

Microsoft has shipped numerous variations of the Xbox 360, with the major difference between each one being the hard drive size. As a result, your Xbox 360 can have a hard drive size as low as 4 GB and as high as 250 GB. If you're unsure of the size of your Xbox 360's hard drive, or just want to see how much space is remaining on it, you can check from the Device Options screen. This screen is accessible from the Xbox 360 dashboard when using any Gamertag.
Step 1 Select the "Settings" tab from your Xbox 360's dashboard.
Step 2 Select "System" and select "Storage" from the onscreen list.
Step 3 Highlight your hard drive from the onscreen list. By default the name of the hard drive is "Hard Drive."
Step 4 Press "Y" on the Xbox 360 controller to access the Device Options screen. The right side of the screen lists both the overall size of your hard drive under "Capacity" and the remaining amount of space under "Free Space."

Tip
  • From the Device Options screen you can also give your hard drive a custom name, clear the system cache or transfer content to another memory device.

I have a 320gb hard drive for my Xbox and when it is inserted it doesn't show on the dashboard for memory devises

In this process your hard drive will be formatted, so back up all files to another hard drive, laptop, or be prepared to lose everything on your hard drive. After you have backed everything up, plug your hard drive into an Xbox 360 then go 'My Xbox/System Settings/Memory.Select 'USB Storage Device/Configure Now' then accept the warning. After the formatting is complete a Performance Warning box will appear, click 'OK.' Now in the 'Storage Devices' screen you should see a new option 'Memory Unit.' This shows that the formatting was successful. Disconnect your hard drive, then connect it to your laptop, load on some media (makes sure the file types are compatible), then reconnect it to your Xbox 360. Your selected media should not appear under 'Portable Device' in the Video/Music/Picture Library.

How to fix a grey screen on the xbox360??

How to Fix Xbox 360 Green Screen:

1)
Check for loose cables.
2) Try to unplug all cables except the power cord, and plug them back in.
3) Remove the hard-drive, then restart your console.
4) Once the Xbox 360 green screen problem is gone, get the hard-drive back in while your console has been shut down.
If these tips didn't fix your console, then you have to send it to Microsoft.
Microsoft has some kind of repair service to fix your Xbox 360 green screen error, but it's obvious that it's not for free.

It wont read on my xbox 360

If you already have the Spring 2010 Dash Update for the Xbox 360 console this can be configured( go to Setting up your Xbox 360 with your USB Flash Drive).
The update allows you to configure a flash drive to hold up to 16GB of Xbox 360 games, gamertags, videos, and other information. You can connect two USB storage devices to your console at once.
  • If you don't have it yet, you need to download the update:
To install the update through Xbox LIVE
1. On your Xbox 360 console, sign in to Xbox LIVE.
2. Select Yes, updated now when prompted.
3. When you see the new Dashboard, you're done.

Setting up your Xbox 360 with your USB Flash Drive: 1. Plug the USB flash drive to the Xbox 360 console.
2. On your console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
3. Select Memory.
4. On the Storage Devices screen, select USB Storage Device.

My xbox 360 was saying error e74 now it will just turn on but screen is blank.pls help me

If you get the Xbox 360 1 red light message, it means that the problem is either with the DVD drive, or with the hard drive.

Fortunately, the Xbox 360 1 red light message is not something that you should worry about. In order to identify which of the two drives the Xbox 360 1 red light messages is referring to, just look the code number that the screen displays. DVD drive errors are identified with the codes E64, E65 and E66, whereas hard drive errors are identified with codes E67, E69 and E79.

Once you identify which error the Xbox 360 1 red light message is pointing to, fixing it is really easy. The guide available at Fix-xbox360.info will tell you what to do in each case, as well as what to do in case you get any of the other Xbox 360 lights messages. Check it out.

I bought a 250gb hard drive that plugs into the usb on my xbox. it came wit a disc that i plugged into my computer ran the program like it told me to. then when i tried to plug it into the back of my xbox...

Your problem is the hard drive is formatted as "NTFS". Dont worry its not complicated. All I am talking about is the method in which the hard drive stores data.

Your Hard Drive needs to be "FAT32".

PLEASE SAVE ALL YOUR FILES OFF OF THE HARD DRIVE

Right click My Computer - > Manage - > Select Disk Management under Storage.

Here you can remove the NTFS partition and recreate it using FAT32.

When you go into Disk Management, right click the partition and choose Delete Partition. Make sure its ont he right Hard Drive! Double check. Then right click in the blank space and choose Create New Partition (I think that's it). Then right click the new partition and choose Format. Select Fat32 for File System. At that point you should be done.
