Normally when no power coming on from the microwave the fuse has blown in the microwave due to a short hi voltage diode con bad located by the capacitor or micro switches located by the door clips. If you have no electrical experience do not temp to fix it yourself due to high voltage stored in the capacitor.
is this for child protection, you could put it into cleanning mode then turn the unit off it will stay locked till you turn your oven back on , could also trip the braker , Just a thought
trying not to freeze every 10seconds ha.it goes in defrost every 20mins . if something has been tripped it would fully stop and you would have to restart it at the circuit braker. its not the fan hitting something ? repair man is an air con mech? is it a box window unit?
Make sure there's power getting to your range, oven or cook top. Check for a
tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for
power with a voltmeter or by plugging something else in.
If everything above is ok, move on to the power cord junction point. make sure the power cord has not separated from the junction point on the backside of the unit.
These machines seem prone to having a bad magnetron. Look for a circuit breaker near the power cord entry point. If tripped, reset and try to heat a cup of water. If it makes a loud buzz and then pops the breaker again, the consensus view is a bad magnetron. This is one repair that is recommended to send out. (~$150). You need to evaluate the probable cost vs a new machine.
