Amp Err hi i have Model " VSX-D859TX pioneer " which has the problem when turn on only standy comes up but when push button of turn on the display doesnot come and after 1miute more or less the display comes and shows amp err.after few second the same display flashes then amp shut down. i donot know what happened with the amp. can any one confirm how this shall vanish and what is problem with the amp. thanks Noshad

I don't recall correctly if your Pioneer has a sub out RCA connector, and if the Kenwood SW-07 has a low level input. So the usual way is to connect it using the speaker wires.
You connect either the FL or the FR to the sub and it should work.

You could have a blown channel. This will keep your receiver from turning on. It is a protect feature to keep you from damaging more components

you can "release" the error by pressing the "down arrow" and the "zone 2 on/off" for 2 seconds.

I pressed the front Enter and Advanced Surround for 2 seconds on my VSX-D814 and that worked. Thanks.

I have vsx-d812 that has an AMP ERR in error menu. the troubleshooting was found to be Q696 and Q697 in the DC prot. area on "C" board, up near front toward diplay in center of c board. You can get access to error codes on VSX pioneer unit by pressing "enter" and "adv. surr." simultaneously for 2 sec. The display should show what error code you are experiencing. I believe there are three diff. error codes. 1) AMP ERR 2) OVERLOAD 3) BOAD ERR (not mistyped) I hope this helps pinpoint error code for ya.
