How to increase flame, it only goes half way around and the flames are all low

This needs to be walked through with a multi-meter and manometer. First check incoming pressure in need to be 10" or above, under 14". if it goes to low flame we need to check the thermalcouple and ETC. If there is not a constant low flame, check pressures and voltage from the ignition module to the solenoid. Lincoln uses Honeywell modules that will just start putting out half the voltage and it isn't enough to open the dual valve. This is a hard question, I am assuming the blower motor is running. It can really be anything inside the oven.

Single wire igniter that sparks the oven on but flame goes out after a few seconds. Does the igniter control gas valve?


Its the other way around the valve controls the igniter so to speak

GAS OVENS 1)The spark igniter tip is dirty (can clean it with either a little wire brush or a piece of fine sandpaper).

2) The Pilot flame is too low, and the tip of the igniter is not in the flame good enough. (the flame acts as a circuit when it touches the tip & completes the circuit).

3) The spark module is no good and needs to be replaced.(But 1 & 2 are your best bet).
spark module does not sense the flame when it's on. The spark igniter is also the flame sensor which provides feedback to the spark module.

Make sure the igniter is properly aligned with the burner lighting holes and it is clean. All lighting holes must be clean too. You can enlarge them using a drill bit one size bigger.

If it would not fix the problem, replace the bake burner and the igniter.

There is a small chance for the spark module itself to be bad as well.
ELECTRIC OVENS:

CHECK THE OVEN RELAY CONTROL BOARD Aclicking sound could be something wrong with a relay. Check for any loose connections around the main control board on your oven. The click you hear is a relay losing power and switching back on. If the clock resets then something is causing power interruptions to the board.

Gas hob Luce(hotpoint) gas on glass 5ring burners keeps going out on low flame when pull pan drawer beneath out


Same problem with my hob. I adjusted the small jets to their lowest setting in order to be able to simmer -impossible on the bigger jets. The problem is the vents underneath the hob. These can't be closed off so the problem appears to be in the design. The solution I have to use while I save up to by a decent German model is to open and close the cupboard doors underneath the hob very, very slowly.

Flame very low in bottom oven


If the flame stays low from the beginning then it will be the flame safety device (fsd) not opening on sensing the flame and will require replacement by a gas certified engineer.

My hobart hgc-5 convection oven heats intermittenly. Heat goes on then off. I replaced the thermostat, ignition wire and ignition board. Still only heating intermittenly. What do I do?


I would replace the flame sense or clean it and make sure it is in the flame it will glow red you can see this if you remove the front and cover it is tough but can be done.also check to make sure it is not in a drafty location the air movement could blow the flame around and not hit the flame sense.it is just a metal rod with ceramic insulator.the flame is actually conductive.it will carry a small current.That is how the ign. module knows the flame is lit and dont just let gas pour in without being lit.

Several things to check. First be sure the pilot light flame is directly striking the thermocouple. It is a pencil sized rod that is next to the pilot light. Sometimes people reduce the size of the pilot flame to save gas. You may need to increase the pilot flame. Follow the small gas line from the pilot flame back to the gas valve. There is a screw where the small pilot gas line goes into the valve. Remove the screw and then deep in the hole is a tiny screw that can only be reached by a tiny flat blade screw driver. Turn the screw counter clockwise to increase the pilot flame. The thermocouple needs to be red hot to work properly. The second item to check is to see if there are any breezes that occasionally blow through the kitchen. Sometimes the hood fan will draw air under the ovens and actually blow the pilot flame out. Same fix, increase the flame. You may also experience low gas pressure to the appliance during heavy usage. You would need a manometer gauge to check for proper gas pressure. In short, if the oven goes out during your busiest time when everything gas powered is on, the oven may be starved for gas.

My g70m oven ignites and stays lit but it won't heat up it stays the same all the time

You have one of these faults:

Faulty FSD (Flame Safeguard Device). When you turn your oven on the FSD lets a small amount of gas through, after about 30-90 seconds the FSD is satisfied and allows more gas to come through......this then moves over to the.......

Oven Thermostat, this will sense the heat from the oven and adjust the temperature accordingly.

If the flame doesn't go high after 60 seconds it's the FSD, if it does but then it goes low and fails to increase then it's the Thermostat.

Either way you need to get a qualified gas engineer to look at it.
