The compressor is running, that is a good sign. If you notice any cooling that is not a good sign. Even with the fan not running , the evaporator should have produce some cooling. Could it be that you are a condenser fan running? well, the compressor makes a distinct sound when it runs and you need to confirm that is running and not just the condenser fan.
Firstly- If you confirm that the condenser fan is running; that is, if there is one, that is good. Secondly- Check and confirm that the compressor is running Thirdly- If there is an evaporator fan inside the unit, check and confirm that is running.
If all checks okay and there is no cooling, the refrigerant might have escaped through a leak, and there will not be any cooling. You can extrapolate from my troubleshooting steps to diagnose the wine cooler problem.
Good luck

KF9000e. Why does compressor cycle at short intervals?

Yes. due to low rpm of fan motor in the condensor copil. or dirty condensor coil. I If so, replace fan capacitor.
If all good, check the seating of condensor set. It needs minimum 2mtrs open space for air throw. If not due to overheat compressor gets short cycling on and off.

Profile Arctica, Air flow fan runs but compressor dont kick in to make anything cold!

1. is light on in side when you open the door. If not check breakers or fuses.
2. Can you hear the compressor running. If not do you hear any clicking sounds.
3. If you hear clicking sounds, try putting a fan on compressor and unplug refrigerator.
4. Wait one hour.
5. plug back in. If compressor starts let it run and see if it cools, if it doesnt, call service man.
6. If it goes back to clicking, call a service man.
try this.

It is not cold. The fan works but when the cold air should come on it doesnt. You can hear it trying to kick on for a moment but it doesnt, it just keeps blowing as a fan. Thanks for any help. I would even...

If compressor is not shorted out to the ground and between each leg of compressor multimeter reads resistance You could try to install 3 N 1 hard start kit. But most likely compressor is weak, be prepared to replace compressor soon. Here is my situation on this compressor - everything was running, but compressor. I check for short and resistance on windings - everything shows that its a good compressor. Installed Supco 3n1 kit. Unfortunately it did not help - need a new compressor.

HOT POINT NOT COOLING WELL

if the condenser fan ( the one near the compressor) is not running and the compressor is running, then that's not good. try to lubricate the bushings of the fan and see if it would run. feel the blade if it turns smoothly. if it's sticcky, then there is your problem.

it should be running the same time as the compressor. if the compressor stops, the fan should stop too.

tnx 4using fixya,
