Yes. Exchange it for either a built bike or another one and try again.

It should be a fairly simple clamp that goes around the bars with a bolt and nut to secure it and tighten it down, if these don't work then the bike is useless and unrideable

Chain coming loose

Yes. Loosen the two nuts on the back wheel. When they are loose just pull the wheel back until the chain is tight enough and tighten nuts while holding the tire in the proper position at the proper tightness of the chain. Make sure that the tire is running true when tightened.

I feel like I'm missing something. I can not attach the handlebars to the bike. I have one long screw, a bolt and some small black cylinder cut on an angle. The instructions are not helpful because...

the cylinder cut on an angle is what the long bolt should bolt to, put the cylinder below the handle bars, and drop the long nut down through the handle bars and into the cylinder, ( the hole in it should be threaded,) only start the bolt so it hangs onto the cylinder, then feed that into the top of the neck hole, where the handle bars slide into,, once the desired height is ok,, tighten that bolt, the cylinder will come up at an angle and tighten the neck and handle bars !! Good Luck

How do I attach the hadlebars?

the bars go throuhg the hole down into the front wheel. on the bar where the the neck goes into the frame there is a hole in that a long bolt goes in that, then the wedge shape nut goes on the long that runs down the neck into the frame that the front is in. make sure that the wedge bolt will line up with wedge on bar. place through frame into wheel so the neck bottem out get your ratach and start cranking as it get tight line up neck w/ tire and lock it down pull up to check turn head just in case

Where to purchase new training wheels for the dynacraft barbie 16 inch bike? st. pete, fl

I see at least 7 bicycle shops in your area. The training wheels don't have to be made by the same company that made the bicycle. Phone around to the various shops and give them the same info you posted here. If you don't feel comfortable installing them yourself the shop you choose will be able to install them easily. Please let me know if this helps.

Dynacraft Slumber Party 20 inch girls bike

Make sure you follow the directions carefully. You might try leaving the flat washers out or substituting thinner ones. Worse case you will have to go to a bicycle shop and purchase a longer axle. Make sure you keep careful track of how you disassembled it and take pictures or make drawings. The hardest part with replacing an axle is getting the proper resistance on both sides so the bearings don't bind. Check www.sheldonbrown.com for some helpful articles.

The handle bars slip and tightening the nut doesn't work.

when you tighten the nut on the handlebar be sure the nut does not turn the bolt you may have to hold the bolt with a vice grip

If you are sure it is as tight as you can get it and the handle bar moves you may have to losten it and put a shim between the handlebar and the clamp throat

Also, the handlebar does go down into the forks this controls the side to side movement of the handle bars when you tighten this bolt it keeps the unit tight into the forks
