I have an sd card in the camera, its empty. the camera says automatically it will save pictures to the built in memory anyways. and when i try to copy pics from the built in memory to the sd card, it says there are none, and when i try to take pictures it says i cant cause the built in memory is full

    so it will delete then all the pics i took today.. that got saved to the built in memory even though there was an empty sd card in? hmm, sucks.

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory.

    so therefore all the pictures i took today will be deleted, because they automatically saved to the built in memory even though there was an empty sd card in the camera... sucks...

    Ordinarily, you would go into the menu and find "copy" and copy the contents of the internal memory to the memory card but, you said when you tried that, the camera said you have no pictures. So, that's why I gave you the advice I did.

If you experience problems:
The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.

    SD Card Issue

    Usually when you take pictures using NO SD card you can't take the picture, however in this case the pictures you took are stored in a memory bank temp only to test the picture your actually taking. In the manual what's the size of the built in memory card? Usually it's small amount of memory built in
