I have a cannon Ixus 75 digital camera, which I have had for several years, and cannot get the date to print on the photo's. I have set the date and time as instructed in the namual, but when I go to the camera drop down menu, the "date stamp" option is not available [blacked out]. The camera serial number is 6133746477 if this helps

The date and a lot more are stored with every photo in its EXIF metadata. Just about any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. If you want to print it, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

There is no way you can delete the date stamp from the photos you have taken.
For future photos you can either correct the date or disable insertion of date stamp.

Please try to press the OK/Set button after setting the date & time. Probably you are not doing the same

Image size (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard) must be set to Postcard. Then make sure that on the Record menu Date Stamp is set to Date or Date/Time.

There won't be...you can only get the date on the pic when you use POSTCARD setting.

Another suggestion would be to buy a Selphy printer from canon, and then you can select to have the date on the print.

Hi, I have the same problem and I was told it works in a postcard mode. Try it.
