Turning on the phones' GPS feature also turns on the tracking your every move.

Your can track "family members" without downloading and installing the "Family Member Locater" app
onto your Android 2 cellular telephone.

the Android 2 phone users manual:
https://store.verizonwireless.com/imgs/phones/userguide/Droid 2 User Guide.pdf

recommend you download this .PDF file and install the (free) Adobe reader to view it.
from www.adobe.com

To hide your location (from the above manual)
1. press Menu
2 press "Latitude"
this displays your "Friends List"
3. highlight your "Friend" by whom you no longer want to share your location
4. press "Menu"
5. press "Edit Privacy Settings"
6. press "Hide Your Location"

that ought to do it.

The above "Hide Your Location" procedure found on page 43 of the 70 page Android 2 manual.

A 2nd way to protect your location privacy would be to delete a person from your "Friends" list.

a 3rd way to protect your location privacy would be to turn off the GPS feature of your Android 2
phone, but this a kinda clumsy method, since by turning off your GPS capability, you also
turn off your GPS navigation capabilities

I need a free unlock code for my verizon droid incredible phone. Can anyone help?

If it is an HTC Droid Incredible 2 you can unlock it as it is a dual mode CDMA/GSM phone. You can unlock your HTC Droid Incredible 2 from Verizon in order to work with any GSM network. You have the entire guide here:

http://www.htcimeiunlock.com/htc-blog/how-to-unlock-a-dual-mode-cdma-gsm-phone-2013-02-23/

Unfortunately i don't know a free unlock code source but the HTC unlock service i recommended to you is a trusted one, have small prices and good support. I use it also to unlock my HTC EVO Design 4G a dual CDMA/GSM also.

Bluetooth in car not recognizing Droid 2 any more - worked fine but now does not

your limit would have crossed
there are a particular no of devices that could be paired
Pair your Verizon Motorola Droid 2 smartphone with a Bluetooth device using these steps:
1. From the Home screen tap Menu > Settings app.
2. Tap Wireless & networks.
3. Tap Bluetooth settings.
4. Ensure that Bluetooth is checked.
5. Turn the Bluetooth device on and set it to discoverable if required.
6. Tap Scan for devices.
7. The Droid 2 should locate any devices in the area. You may need to enter a password. Most devices have a password of 0000 (four zeros).
The Bluetooth indicator should now show in the notification area. This indicates you are paired successfully.

When sending a message from our PC to a verizon droid phone the receiver is only receiving half a message or none at all. usually last half of message only.

When you send a message through most cellphone carriers, I assume you have Verizon if you have the Droid, there is a limit to the text it can hold. If you send the message as a media message you will be able to send as much text as you want.

It always says that it is searching for my location on my Droid 2 with Verizon, but it works fine on my husband's Droid Pro with Verizon with him standing right beside me, will not allow me to check-in

I would take the phone in to the nearest Verizon location and have them fix it for you or replace it. They should do it free of charge as you are probably on a contract.

MY DROID HAS NO SIM CARD HOW CAN I USE IT AS A CELL PHONE

In USA, Verizon offers Droid which uses CDMA technology. You can call Verizon customer service and tell them to activate the phone on your account. You should be a Verizon customer, should have a data plan and the phone serial number should be clean(not in lost/stolen list and active on another account). You'll have to give ESN number to the Verizon customer service agent while calling them. ESN number is at the back of the phone when you take the battery out.

I need a code to connect to the internet and I don't know what the code is or how to get it. Please help.

If you have a Motorola Droid, I'm assuming you're with Verizon. If you're with Verizon, the only instance where I could see you needing a code is if you have setup your Google account with their new 2-step account verification system. If that's the case, you'll need to log into your Google account online, https://www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount, click on "Using 2-step verification", then click on "manage application specific passwords". There you'll create a password just for your Droid.

On every phone call, if I use my shoulder to hold the phone, I either End the call or or hit Mute. When I called Verizon they said I had to have headphones to use this phone. What?????

nooooooo you don't. I found if I hold it even by hand on my right ear, it mutes but the left ear is fine. Some kind of sensor on the one corner of the droid that does that.

an app to stop that is Screen Suite. It will lock the screen while you call but you may want to tweak the settings a bit but it will keep the phone from muting, etc. A life saver!!!

Motorola Droid stopped ringing even tho settings are correct.

Does it play music otherwise? If it's completely silent, you may have an issue with your speaker. If Verizon doesn't replace it for you, You can get the speaker at Droid Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to put in the part at Electronics Repair Guide.
