Hi, I Have a Uniden Stalker LRD 2000 but no manual. Can you please help me understand wat the X,K,KA,L bands mean and if you know which one most likely represents the police scanners.

It may be old technology, but honestly, the radar guns still emit the same signals that these radar detectors look for to alert you. Newer detectors may have a little better sensitivity and better anti-falsing technology, but basically there isn't much difference between one made in 1980 and one made today. (Kind of like an AM radio)

Yes, it is one of the best.

But the solution more and more people are using is a CB radio, it can offer you real time informations regarding everything happens on the road. I also use it.

Hi, with just a quick look, i couldn't find a manual for you, but the x, k, ka are the different types of radar that the law inforcement uses. Here's a link that will show the freq's of the different bands.
