Make sure that the sound output connectors (the red and white ones) are correctly plugged in (the colours corresponding at both ends of the 3-headed cable) and that the sound volume in the ATT box is almost to the max.
Look at the input or video select button. Change it once and attempt to change channels, if the problem persists continue to change the input selection until you can select channels.

Look for a pc audio input at the back of your tv/monitor(there`s usually one).
And you will need the cable with 2 mini phones 1/8"plug at the ends(that is one on each end)
Otherwise you will have to use separate speakers

you can use any vga monitor with the same color output and resolution setting just goto craigs list in your town and look for someone throwing one out detach old cable and reapply to your screen by either soder or splicing the wires independently together this is tricky

That means that there are solid state components on a printed circuit board that are soldered into place. If the set is a 13 inch it would not be feasable to drop any cash into it as there are 13 inch combo TV sets going for as little as 59 bucks. Good Luck
