My television has recently developed a problem. Some of my cable channels do not have any sound, yet others do. Also, some of the other channels have sound that is in another language, or not in synch with the picture. Like I said, this has not been a problem the entire time I've had the television, it's only developed recently. If you have a solution, I'd really appreciate it.
Many stations broadcast seperate audio channels to allow commentary or alternate languages to be heard if desired. I recommend navigating your audio settings and looking for "SAP." If this is selected, turn it back to "Stereo," "Mono," or whatever other option is applicable to your audio setup.

No sound See the + - and thr triangle in between all on the same button press that button Check if the sound is muted by pressing MUTE Scroll to other channels there may be problems with broadcast. Check if the audio cables are connected properly. The scart connections are sensitive. good luck Kolbrun
1.) Check its not muted/ the sound is all the way down
2.) If the TV has seperate speakers make sure they are plugged in to the main unit.
3.) If you are watching tv change the channels, if any channels have sound then the one you were watching has lost signal, try retuning.
4.) If all these have failed your TV may be on the way out :(
to eliminate the problem just select the mono sound disable the stereo signal.so that your tv sound will be stable.this happens because not all tv stations are broadcasting on stereo signal thats why your tv keep on switching to mono and stereo base on what signal it receives.plus the signal being feed by the cable provider sometimes they are not stable enough to give the stereo signal so better select only the mono sound...tnx hope i helped you..
switch the cable box from one tv to another one see if the box you changed works on the tv set you removed the cable box from on all channels if it does work after you swap out the box then it has to be bad!!!

If you are using a cable box to recieve tv channels make sure that the sound is not muted on the box, usually you get a small icon indicating that the sound is muted. The other cause of the audio loss could be a problem in the sound processing circuit(IF circuit) you will need to take the set in for an estimation in that case, some troubleshooting will be required. If you are using a cable box one thing you can do is to run some dubbing cables from the a/v jacks in the located in the rear and connect them to one of the tv ext. inputs(like you are connecting your dvd, vcr) this should give you audio when viewing your tv channels. please leave good feedback if i answered your question satisfactorily.thanks
I diconnected a recently acquired Panasonic DVR which was hooked up between my TV and the cable signal source, but this had no immediate effect on the two channels. I then reset the TV by unplugging it over night, and by changing the settings on the sound menu. These actions removed the problem. Is it possible that the DVR caused the problem?
WHen I hit the mute button again to bring up the volumn the sound remains muted. I have tried all other channels, direct cable and even a dvd player connected. No sound. I unplugged all the boxes and tv and then plugged in again in a attempt to reset what might be wrong. Still no sound.
solution
