'power strip'!! You can't run a washing machine from a power strip! It pulls far to many amps. Plug into a wall socket on its own.
PAU Error. The PAU, or pause, error usually means that the washing machine cycle was interrupted and was not restarted properly. If you try to modify the cycle or start a new one before the first cycle is complete, the PAU error will appear on the display.
depending on its age take a look at the motors brushes. sounds like 23 mins would be spin cycle when the motor picks up speed. they may need replacing.
The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .
Hi, ok so there was a recall on the control boards it's fine don't be
scared all you have to do is call 1800-659-7026 give them your info and
model and ser.# they will then send someone out to replace the control
board it takes about ten min for all of it and it is all free no matter
when you bought it. But in mean time quick fix for all of you is to
unplug the washer then hit power then stop over and over tell there is
no power left in it then plug it back in and it will work fine for
awhile you may have to repeat if it does it again. But after they come
out it will work fine. yes this has happened to me it sucks it took two
years to find out what was wrong they didn't even tell us I had to ask
alot of parts guys and look it all up. So for everyone that this is
happening to I'm sorry I just hope this gets out to all of you because
I work very hard to know my product and take care of my customers ask
any of them and it's not easy working STRAIGHT commission and people
don't want to come back for these kind of things. But remember the
reason why you came there in the first place we will give you the
lowest prices in town and we know what we are talking about, well most
do if not they ask me:) so I really hope this helps someone out there.
It is the RPS sensor, cover by whirlpool. Get your model number and serial number ready and call the 800 number on the machine, tell them you heard it here that it is a recall so you don't get the run around. The sensor is located on the stater motor and comes with a new harness and cost you nothing.
Hello djlampl, With the lowest spin cycle setting I enter spin cycle in Quick Wash around the 21 minute mark. But first question is do you hear the grinding noise with the tumblers rotating during the wash/agitate cycle? If you start a spin only cycle do you hear the grinding noise? Does the washer error code out with an error code to the display?Codes such as dC, uC, Lr?, I assume the machine type is a FAV6800AW is that correct? Any additional info will help in troubleshooting…..Rich Assuming the machine type is a FAV6800A/FAV9800A here are some handy links; The Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.
Here is a link to the service repair sheet at Whirpool for the F1 error code on your machine. You will find 4 things to check at the bottom of the page. Good luck.
I think there might be a recall on your washer call to see. I am not for sure that there is a recall but I a m pretty sure there is. So don't quote me on that. the f1 error code usually means that you have a bad board. f1 means that your pressure switch line is failing and this is all in your board. check your owners manual if whirlpool is not going to pay for this repair sometimes there are extended warranties in your manual
