I have problem with hp monitor 1901W display problem how can solve

Hook a spare monitor to the pc to rule out the video graphics card, if okay! the HP monitor has a serious issue, just to be sure! change the video cable from the monitor to the computer, if no change! the monitor will need to be repaced. There is a large circuit board on the back of the LCD it processes the video, colour, brightness and more and is apart of the display.

Display works fine on VG700b monitor but video is extended onto large screen for auditorium. The large screen does not display correctly. The large screen works fine when other monitors have been used. ...

the old monitor is old square screen
you PC , PnP plugs and plays that reloc
and sets the GPU chip to use that tubby shape
then you extend it and expect 16x9 wide video
dump the VG700b in the trash, move on. and up 2011 newer wide screens.
old is 1280x1024
, max, called tubby. a blast from the past. and no fun./
SXGA 5:4 aspect ratio is not 16:9 OR 1080p
see them all here.

I have an LG 17"

First thing to do is determine whether the problem is the monitor or the PC.
Do you have another PC you could try the monitor on, or perhaps a friend will lend you a monitor for an hour or two?
Obviously if the display is ok on another monitor, then the problem is your monitor, however if the display is still "too big" then the problem is the PC.

By the way, when you say the display is "too large" what EXACTLY do you mean?

Using as a duo monitor. when transfering screen image to it, the screen is extremely too large . How do I reduce the size?

Increase the resolution of the monitor with the really large image. Also, in vista and windows 7, go to display and there should be a button to reduce the size of whats on the screen.

Large monitor has distorted display

try adjusting your system resolution to a largest one (as 1280 x 800), or using a DVI cable, if your monitor and video card supports it.

Hannspree 19" HF199H LCD - Display is LARGE on monitor!

Try Control Panel - Appearance or Display- You can change how your 2nd display looks there.. Sounds like you have it set in Clone mode...(both displays show the same things)...See if you can reset the 2nd display resolution while keeping the laptop in its normal resolution. Not all machines can do this...but most recent ones should be able to.
