My Toshiba TV lost suddenly convergence for all the colors. Interesting part is that this happens only when using internal TV tuner, S-video or composite video signal externally. If I use HD1 or HD2 inputs from external devices my convergence is coming back and is working perfectly OK. I have also notice that when switch to HD1 or HD2 Inputs I can hear relay click, so I guess something is switching in convergence circuit when use HD component Inputs…
Does anybody experience similar problem? Any help, direction in troubleshooting this problem would be much appreciated. I have some experience in electronic TV circuits but unfortunately I don’t have schematic for TN55X. Does anybody now where I can get one, I was searching on a web with no luck so far.
Regards
You brought up an issue that we hadn't considered. Shortly after hooking up our TV to the receiver with a composite video, our convergence which wacko. My hubby replaced the 2 ICs, but now our power button just flashes red, with no picture. Not sure if new ICs are faulty or if it's another issue. He will replace old ICs to see if problem still exists with turning on the tube. And he'll try disconnecting the video signal to see if problem exists.
Ouch.. may have to consider another tv thanks to new technology ??????
Good luck solving your problem.
