You need to install Cisco Connect software.
To reset it you have to press a small button at the back of the router
With power on.

Leave the user name blank and enter the password admin ( admin once only ).

Try this.
If that doesn't work then search for the Cisco connect software on your main computer. You might have installed the cisco connect software on your main computer while installing your router.
If it is windows computer then cisco connect software might be under All Programs.
If is a MAC computer then cisco connect might be under Applications.

Open cisco connect software.
Click on router settings. You will see the router name and password. If you click on Advanced settings, it will open the setup page.

If nothing is working then you will need to reset the router and reconfigure it.
Remember once you reset the router, you will need to reconfigure it from the scratch.

Trying to set up wifi on new phone and its says need password and i dont remember setting one. so can't get access to internet

The default password of the router is admin. If you have set up a password before, it will not recognize the default admin.Hold the reset button (at the back) of the router for 10secs and it will retrieve the default admin...To change the default password, lauch internet explorer(pc should be connected to the router hardwired), type on the address bar, 192.168.1.1--it willl prompt for a username and password, leave username blank and password will be admin...It willl bring you to the set up page of the router..click on the administration tab and from there you can create your new password for your router.

I secured my router network. I trying to get to set ups.... what user name and password I use? Admin for user name??

I am trying to get my wii connected to the internet. It was connected before but for some reason it wont connect now and I cant remember my passwords or pass phrase. I have a Cisco Linksys E1000

if you're connected to the router on your computer you can reset the router password through your Internet browser by entering the URL 192.168.1.1 a password prompt will pop up enter admin for the user name and password after that go to the wireless tab then the security sub-tab and you can change it there

I cannot find or remember the password for my E1000 Linksys router

Hi the default password for linksys unless you or someone has changed it is:
USERNAME: leave it blank PASSWORD:admin
If this would not work and you cant access the Linksys you need to reset the router by poking the reset hole at the back of it.Thanks

Just bought an E1000 off ebay and previous owner has a security key that I do not have acess too. How do I reset it?

simply push in the tiny reset button on the back near the power jack, with a small pin or paper clip, for about 20 seconds, this will reset back to defaults, of 192.168.0.1 and username : admin password: admin
