No video i get sound but no video on my xbox 360. i bought another audio/video cord but is the samething is the video card in the xbox fried?

Turtle beaches have two important cords to them, your microphone cord goes into your controller, then to get sound you have av adapters. You want to plug in you xbox av sound cords, the white and red ones, into your turtle beach ones. This then should deliver sound. If you use an hdmi cable look on the back of your tv for audio out ports.

check your xbox cords, and if you have surround sound, make sure the video cord is plugged into the tv, not the surround sound. if you changed the tv and cable you were playing on, consult the manual to find out how to make the system search for the optimal video output. i know on the ps3 you just have to hold the power button, maybe its the same on the 360

your a/v cords may be fried along with the ports... and did you ever turn the xbox OFF before you went to bed? if not, you could have:
1. fried the leds
or
2. overheated the motherboard.

try getting a new a/v cord and check the ports on your tv. are you hooked up to HDMI? if so, you might have put them in the wrong slots somehow or the ports might have been shot.
