DEGEN DE1103 I have this DEGEN DE1103 radio, which I presume to be identical with the KAITO KA1103. After 2 years, the volume control mode stop working. The volume set itself at 40 (maximum). Can this defect be fixed or it has to go to the manufacturer? I do not know the name and the address. Is there a product support on the net? Best regards, Doxi

check the aa batteries in use as most radios do not run well on rechargeable batteries
contact the seller and ask how to get a new unit under warranty
are the batteries connected in the correct order
the background tone is due to frequency static...the design of the stereo is not good... it lack of noise destortion cirquit..and almost all stereo that is analog usually poor in in design..change the stereo.try stereo that is digital in design..
