My Toshiba c-55 wont turn on the white button light flashes 4 or 5 times and then stops but it never turns on.

I heard of many power issues with these models. Mostly concearning the battery, it sounds like this may well be the case from the 'light flashing' issue.

The other problem involving slow start up/ being laggy could be down to the machine running hot and Windows is using passive cooling in the power options, or a failing hard drive can also cause software problems.

It sounds like your charger is not working. If you can check the voltage out of the charger or if there is an indicator on the charger that would be my first place to look. Only do simple checks as the and it should still be under warranty being only a month or two old. If you have another charger that would fit then try swapping it out to get you going in the short run. You can always warranty old charger. Or if you bought it locally consider returning it to the store.

Is there any lights indicators lit up on the laptop?
remove the battery and the ac adaptor and press and hold the power button (for 10-15 sec) with the battery and power cable unplugged
now try powering up the laptop
check whethere the bluetooth and the power light is lit up
this indicates that there is a memory dump issue in this case you need to reseat your memory strips
for that underneeth the laptop there will be memory door
unsrew door the and open the door and you can take the memory strips out and reseat it back

MY LAPTOP WENT BLACK AFTER I SPILLED SOMETHING ON

Its better to show it to technician bcz it seems the motherboard inside lost bios flash and its unable to detect old settings so that everytime it reboots checks bios and then reboots again to flash it. Better show it to a local technician. One other way is to try booting it in safe mode and then check if it works.

I was shutting down my toshiba laptop, its now frozen.

If nothing else works remove the battery, leave it for 5 mins then replace it and it will start as normal. Yyou will get an error message usually saying it was not shut down correctly and it may do a system scan but unless there is a real problem with it that will restart it. Ive had to do that twice with mine in the last year.

Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop keeps shutting off for no reason.

I think your fan might be broken....if the fan doesn't cool the pc,the processor or the chipset will automatically shut down the pc to prevent burning hardware.Or your hard drive might keep crashing.Oh yeah and abstract from this i don't recommend ever using mcaffe

My toshiba laptop l10 281 has stopped working it was working perfectly and was shut down properly wen i went to turn it on again today it wont go it wont even light up please help!! thanks in advance john

If nothing at all works then perhaps you have no power to the system.

Check that the powerpack is getting power (does it hum or get warm when plugged into the mains socket?) Check all connections to the power pack and back of laptop.

Try taking the battery out and powering up on only the power pack

Do you know anyone with a similar laptop that you could swap power pack with?

Toshiba Satellite A60 powers up then off after 2 seconds

Mark F K, truong808, does the cooling fan(s) blow or come on? If not, the system will sense tha ti is overheating and will shut down to prevent further damage. Also, a thermal sensor may be failing on the Mobo and thus keep the fan from initiating. The cheapest fix is to replace the fan. Worst case scenario is another Mobo may be the fix.
