Where is the mic switch located on my laptop - Toshiba (P000257700) Microphone

check your bios for most updated bios version and check update in device manager and get the most updated version of your sound driver

The wireless switch is on the front left of the laptop near the mic and headphone sockets and usually has an amber LED light.

your need go to device manager on the internal mic thing click on it and rollback driver to original or update it one of those should work or go to control panel under sounds then recording devices and clic to make you internal mic your default mic and make sure its not muted

there is no built in mic.... u need to buy an additional mic to use it....

Just go into your preferences, ->audio input -> and switch your audio input preferences from internal mic to external mic.

open the speaker icon by the clock and check off mute on all mic and line in volume sliders. Its often just the mic giving feedback on the speakers, (if you cannot locate the mic mute box, look for it in the control panel. under audio device properties. if this solves your issue please check off the 5 thumbs up. cheers

The wireless switch is on the front edge of the computer.
There are 2 little slider switches to the left of the external mic,phone,aux sockets.
The switch that is the right hand of the two, is the wireless switch. (the one on the left is for bluetooth)
It is a momentary action switch, when you slide it to the left, it springs back.
When you slide it to the left, an orange light to the left of the switch should come on, also a green message appears briefly at the bottom of the screen.
To turn it off, slide it again, to the left and the light on the switch should turn off.

The switch is between the Mic element and the output connector.
Depending on the type of microphone will determin how the switch is wired.

My laptop model is compaq presario c754tu, I have installed Windows Vista Business, and the audio is working fine, but the internal mic and external microphone both work together........i want to mute the internal mic..... how i can do it ? please reply me on my email id i.e. [email protected]

click on the speaker icon at the right bottom , go to the properties and then at mic option and click on the mic box it will get muted
