First make sure that all the files in the playlist are supported by the device (all mp3 files)..also ..make sure that the playlist you are trying to sync contain only files that are in the library of windows media player ..(to be sure ..better scan all hdd again and add all media files on the library again )..
be sure that you do not have files in the Play-list that were originated from a disk or some device that it is not in use at the moment...cause this is the main reason for these kinda errors..
If it do not want to work ...better look for the device in My computer folder and load the files manually in the device(removable storage) using the copy/ paste feature..

I ADDED SONGS TO MY COBY MP815 USING WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND NOW IT WONT TURN ON. I PLUG IT INTO MY COMPUTER USING MY USB AND WHEN I UNPLUG MY USB FROM THE MP815 THE SCREEN FLASHES WHITE FOR A QUICK...

Hello,

Assuming the player is charged. (For charging always connect directly to the computer, not through a reader or hub).
When buttons on the player do not react, reset the player:
Disconnect the player from the computer.
See that the HOLD button is not engaged.
Gently push the RESET button on the rear side: use a narrow pointed
object, like a paperclip.

Did synchronization of the songs in Windows Media Player fail ?
For transferring songs, check in Windows Media Player:
1. The player is detected in Windows Media Player 10 or higher.
2. Setup the Library / Add to Library: add the location of songs you want to transfer in the library.
3. Create Playlist; give the list a name and put songs in a playlist
4. Sync Playlist: transfer the list of songs onto the player and wait for the message until you're allowed to disconnect.

My Sansa e280 is not downloading my playlists from Windows Media. I have tried dragging and dropping the playlists from my computer music folder to the Sansa folder and it still will not write to the mp3...

Hello,
The Sansa e280 can be operated in 2 ways of USB connection modes: MSC or MTP.

In MSC mode, viewing the player as a removable disk, the "copy
and paste" or "drag and drop" method will work.
In MSC mode always through the "safely remove hardware" icon, click to remove the player's disk before taking out the USB cable.

In MTP mode, operating the player in software like Windows Media Player: under Library or Sync,
first create a playlist
next sync the playlist.
In MTP mode, follow up the warning or text in the software that gives permission when to disconnect the player.

Music won't download it shows up on the computer but once it's unplugged from the computer it's no longer there...

Hello,

Media players have certain folders for holding the data in the player.
Most players (not all) will accept 2 ways of files transfers and depends on the USB connection mode.
Some players switch automatically into the operating connection mode when connecting the USB cable.
Other players can be switched through specific key operation on the player or using the menu in the player.
Consult your manual or use internet support for information about your player's functions. See if you have to install software and maybe updates as well.

1. USB cable connect mode MSC = Mass Storage Class.
Using the explorer in "My Computer", seeing the player as an external flash drive:
When the files are not put into the correct destination folder, the content will not be kept in the memory of the player.
Before disconnecting in MSC mode always go through "safely remove hardware", the icon in the right corner of the computer screen: disconnect the player's flash drive in the icon "safely remove hardware", before pulling out the USB cable.

2. USB cable connect mode MTP = Media Transfer Protocol.
Using a software program like Windows Media Player 10 or 11, the player should be recognized as a media device:
Files must be put in a playlist on the computer first: create a playlist.
After that, synchronizing of the playlist onto the player has to be done.

Wen i delete music from the library in windows media player it also deletes it from my philips gogear mix how do i stop this

Hello,

Playlists to sync on the player can be set in Windows Media Player.
When selecting the Library or Sync tab in WMP full view, the GoGear is visible on the left side in the list.
The player can be either connected seeing the player's icon or not connected seeing the player's map name.

Right click the GoGear Mix and select Setup Sync...
The box, Sync this device automatically probably is selected.
Prevent the player from unattended synchronizing by unchecking this box: Especially when you're removing lists on the computer frequently.
Setup the the playlists to sync first and synchronize manually after that.
Temporary "Sync this device automatically'' must be selected, to be able to edit the playlists to synchronize.

On the right half of the Device Setup screen there''s the "Playlists to sync''.
Under playlists to synchronize, first remove all playlists or those you are going to delete in the library, before synchronizing.

When needing more information, just post a comment.

How do I create playlists?

The manual, etc is available at www.p4c.philips.com

You will have to, unfortunately, set up your Windows Media Player for Auto-Sync (has definite drawbacks - inclduing: adding songs, pictures, etc that you DON'T want into the GoGear). Playlists can only be synchronized to your player via “auto sync”. Autosync will automatically synchronize your Windows Media Player library content and your player content each time you connect your Player to the PC. If you use the “manual” sync option the tracks in the playlist will transfer to your player but the playlist itself will not.

Synchronizing

The playlists do not always transfer correctly - check the FAQ for this model at www.usasupport.philips.com, and make sure you have followed their suggestions exactly.

No playlist found

One of the pesky features of windows Media Player is that if you delete the song/playlist from the computer's harddrive, and then resync your device to that same computer, then oftentimes the song/playlist disappears. Reacquire the song/playlist, and then try resyncing to the goGear again.
