Question about Sony Grand WEGA KDP-57WS550 57" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Mine did this after a power flash. Lights blinking 5 or 6. They blink fast lol. I have sound till tv powers back down. Front yard bond fire? Or any ideas? Thx.

Hi, 5 times blink of standby light shows that TV needs White Balance adjustment. No need to dump it, adjustment is also not so difficult. Let me know if you want to give it a try to guide you.

SOURCE: Sony 57" projection TV - need replacement screen
The part number for the screen for the KP57WS500 does not match the one for the KDP-57WS550. The inner screen is still available for the KDP using part number 4-095-924-01 for $120.32

You have to count how many times it blinks. It is a service code. The main thing that goes on these is the convergence chips. If you had the back off doing any type of repair, recheck your plugs. Odds are, you crossed one.

SOURCE: Can you reset Sony model #KDP-57WS550
Press and hold the reset button on the remote... then press the power button on the TV. This will reset the TV. I hope this helped.

my sony tv shuts itself off after I turn it on. Then the red light blinks 5 times and i hear sound for 10 seconds but no picture,theres no green light only orange and red.
