Hello.

Unfortunately, the only way to restore the address info and calendar is if you have been backing up your info from your Palm to your computer. Use the bluetooth (if you have) or connect the cradle to hotsync and transfer all your info back to your Palm.

Hope this helps.

Hot Sync deleted the entire calendar on both the handheld and the desktop. Contacts are still intact.

Hi Tracy,

Palm creates a backup file of your data so you can restore that file as long as you have not tried to sync your calendar again (that would create another backup file that would be blank.

Here is the link to a forum post that explains how to replace the data file with the backup:

Calendar on phone is good, calendar on computer is gone I tried hot sync with just the calendar only, but that freezes. what should I do

1.Bought Palm centro with freezing up problem then returned and got another one.
2. Second Palm centro again with freezing up with additional screen flickering problem....buy one problem take another problem....good huh? buy one take one..

3. Third Palm centro after returning the second, now I stil have and inherited the freezing up problem .....you always inherit the freezing up problem even as many times as you changed your PALM CENTRO.

conclusion:

I WILL NEVER BUY PALM CELLPHONE AGAIN.

Recover lost calendar events on a Palm z22

Hi suzbt:
JOY's answer, that you try to do a SYSTEM RESTORE on your Computer to get the data back is a really good one, that I did not think of! All manual instructions, and USER instructions on doing a SYNC with the Palm Z22, REPEAT : 1/ Always have a back up of the hard data 2/ Always check all transferred DATA on a SYNC, "Even if it states 'transfer Successful'", 3/ Even, if necessary, write down the data, ...
There are a few software programs to identify FILE problems on the Z22, listed on my web page:

http://kidbots.com/WEBADD/Z22_PALM_PILOT/Z22_PALM_PILOT.html

and ways to recover corrupt data, but these are getting more and more difficult to find and use...

User comments on the SYNC indicate that any SYNC is a risky procedure, and backups and re-checking all data is necessary at all times.

I hope that the information on my web site comes in useful in keeping the Palm Z22 up and running!

good luck

The light on my palm pilot (Z22) screen is dimming.

There enlies your problem. Tungsten longevity. The display is a bulb that is dying. No adjustment. Tungsten won't touch it. It is a SEALED unit. Time to upgrade to an E2. I know alot about them too, including how to make it go internet. If you get an E2 ALL your info will cross over. If you have any questions, please create a new request, make it a premium, request it be for Just_Bobz and I can walk your through most anything you want to know. Please post this as fixya.
