My xbox 360 is freezing up after about 5 min of playing any games and then last nite 3 of the red bars lit up around the power button but not all 4 . What's the problem?

Delete any saved game files from your x box hard drive.Unplug x box for 5 min.
Plug back in and power up.
Try game again.
Chances are files have become corrupt.Also delete any files from GOW 1 and 2.

i. Checking your modem's NAT capabilities
ii. Adjusting the MTU size
iii. Enable Port Range Forwarding for the default Xbox 360 ports

I hate to break it to you, but you may have gotten the Red Ring Of Death. It happens when playing a game and it is transmitted through online play through Xbox Live. 3 red lights will appear around the power button when your console has become infected. The Red Ring of Death may have infected your console causing it to shut down. Most Xbox 360 consoles won't turn back on but some do turn back on but they just won't play games, they will freeze up and have the dotted lines and make the buzzing noise. I'm sorry, but I think you may need a new console. You're in luck if it's still under warranty. Hope this helps!!!!

E79 is a hard drive problem. It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it

The console is overheating , try positioning the console where it can get plenty of air.
