Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

I got a drum kit for the ps3 but the drum dongle won't sync with the drums. If i plug another guitar dongle in the drums sync with this and the drums work fine but it's not syncing with the drum hub the first hub i got was a guitar hero drum dongle one but it didn't flash and i believe was broken, the second one i got was for band hero which flashes but still doesn't sync, do i need to get a guitar hero drum dongle or shouldn't this be a problem?

How do I turn on my drums and guitar for Rockband 2 on PS3?

There is a small power button on the bottom of the drum set that you must turn on. The guitar is the same thing, on the back side of the guitar is a power switch.

Drums not working

You may need to sync the drum kit with the console you are using it with, as it may have been sync'd with a store console.
Once you locate the sync button on the drum kit, just google it's location as I am not 100% sure where it is located, press and hold while doing the same with the sync button on the console. That should sync the drumkit to the console and render it ready for use. Good luck, I hope this helps.

Does the dongle fit in tightly, and are you using a multi-tap or plugging it in directly to the Wii?

Drums and guitar sync..

you must make sure that they are not both plugged in while starting the system... some will automatically try to be player 1, no matter which slot it is in... just have one plugged in at a time until you are ready to log in the 2nd controller.

Guitar hero world tour for ps3

i had the same problem but with trial and error i came up with a soulution
1. Turn on the Playstation 3
2. Plug the dongle for the drum set into an open port on the PS3, the light will begin to flash slowly.
3. Hold down the button (where the light is flashing) on the dongle until it begin flashing very rapidly. Release the button and the light continues to flash rapidly.
4. Hold down the PS button on the drum set until the red light starts flashing rapidly.
5. Within a few seconds you will get a solid light on both the Guitar Hero World Tour Drum Set and the Playstation 3.

GOT IT!!!!

beebe623 was right. with some extra steps. Simple steps here:
1. Unplug the drum receiver.
2. Turn off the PS3.
3. Remove batteries from the Drum Controller.
4. Plug in the Drum Receiver.
5. Put batteries back in drum revceiver.
6. Turn on PS3.
7. Hit the PS button on the Drums once. (all 4 lights should flash)
8. Push and hold down the button on the Drum Receiver for about 5 seconds, then release.
9. Push the PS button again on the Drum Controller. At this point the drums should be assigned a port and synced up.

All this is in the instructions that came with the game.

my ps3 stoped working on sceptra x46 I put ps3 on another tv and it works fine. so i tested the tv by hooking up attenna and it is working. I also changed the HDMI cord.
