I am having difficulty setting up a wireless internet connection to my second computer. I am using a belkin wireless G plus MIMO network adapter and a belkin wirelss G plus MIMO router. The internet is working fine on the primary computer. I have entered the proper WEP, but it will not connect to the internet on my second computer. It succeeded in connecting to an unsecured network next door, but it will not connect to mine.
Any help with this problem is appreciated.

you need to set the password in your computer's network connection as well: control panel --> network connections --> wireless . find your SID network and delete it. then re-scan for network connections and when it finds it will ask for the password. enter the password and you should be good to go
Once its connected you will have the blue light in the belkin router
1.Turn on the wireless switch in your laptop 2.Click on start menu--->control panel--->Network and internet--->Network and sharing 3. In the right hand side click on "Change adapter settings or Manage network connections" 4.You will see the wireless network connection 5.Right click on wireless network connection and click on Connect/Disconnect 6.you will be able to see the network name, try to connect it. 7.it will be connecting and then connected 8.try to able to go online in the laptop
Make sure the router is set up to receive an assigned address, probably DHCP. Unplug the modem for about 30 seconds with the router and computer off. Power on the modem. When it comes ready, power on the router. When it comes ready, the laptop.
You do not need a bridge if you are using a wireless adaptor on your pc in the other room. Just set up the Belkin Plus router to the WEP security settings you want and make sure the pc wireless usb adaptor has the same settings as the router. You should be good to go.
Good Luck.
Check for the wireless encryption settings associated with this. If you're trying to join a network with "Open" settings to a encrypted network it won't work very well.
when enabling wireless security the router and adapter must be both be configured and configured in a fashion that both support.
