Set the dials to the middle settings, if this does not rectify the issue,
see if the thermostat will shut off the unit at its lowest temp setting with the cold box temps as reported, if the compressors still running , the thermostats bad.

Kenmore refrig/freezer. freezer side is cold,

Check your condenser coil (should be below the refrig.). If dirty, you can clean it with a condenser brush from Home Depot or Lowe's. Turn the appliance off while cleaning. Be careful not to damage the refrigerant tubing (copper). If this doesn't solve the problem, then there may be an issue with the defrost thermostat, defrost heater(s) or the main temperature control assembly.

Contact an appliance service company.

Side by side frezer frezes up icebox side won't stay cold until manualy thaw fezer side the icebox side cools for a few days.

sound like a timmer and a thermostat to me
we have had the same problem from time to time usualy we just change the thermostat out and problem solved
remember to unplug the fridge for a 24 hour period to de thaw the baffels in the fridge after you change the thermostat
also check your drain lines in the back they might also be pluged
another words wrap your lips arround the pipe in the rear of the fridge and blow if there is back preasure then you probably have a blockage

Ice box

you have a leak or the compressor is not starting, you need to pull the frig. out and see if you see any oil on the lines this would mean the freon is leaking out, also put your hand on the comp. and see if you feel it running if not you would need to go to your local appliance part store and get a 3in1 start kit and install it ,it's easy the directions are to the part, hope this helps you-mike

Admiral SAC224 fridge freezer: fridge intermittently freezes up

To Whiteorchid,

Found a fix for my issue ... hopefully it'll help you.
Up at the topleft rearmost corner of the fridge remove panel to reveal spring attached slots where cold is supplied from freezer. The spring attached had came off one end as there isn't a "slot" for the spring to hold in place (design fault?).Reattached the spring and taped on .... and hey presto fridge now working perfectly again. Hope this helps.
