I have installed Connectify on my Windows 7 laptop. The Connectify network shows up for the ipad and it says it's connected, but no data flows. iPad does not have a working internet connection (using the Connectify Wifi connection).
Try to change the internet settings of your iPad from Wifi Connection to Broadband since you are using ATT Broadband. Also, use the PC settings instead of mobile settings on your ATT mobile so that your iPad and ATT would connect to each other...
If you want to use the same connection from at&t ..you have to download and install the AT&T communication manager for windows & ..and after that make the connection ..
Here is the link ..

If you have the AT&T on a wireless router ..use the wifi .card to connect to the router ...by ..enabling the wifi ..than click on the card icon ..and scan for networks ....When the router is found by name ...click connect ..and thats all..

Hello.
Your firewall on your Windows 7 laptop could be interfering.
Try disabling the firewall to see if any difference.
If data to iPad then flows, you know that the firewall is interfering. It's risky to leave your laptop without firewall protection, but perhaps another firewall would work better. Firewalls that I have used (have not tested with your setup, however) are Comodo and ZoneAlarm. Outpost is another free firewall.
Hope this resolves your problem.

Thanks DrifterK.
Can you expand / elaborate on some of your instructions.
The ATT mobile broadband signal is received on the HP un2420 Mobile Broadband Module Network Device -- it's a 3g signal. My laptop has a Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN card, but the ATT signal does not come in on that card.
And I'm trying to use Connectify to get a signal over to the ipad.
Up till now, the Mobile Broadband network does NOT show up on Connectify, only the Wifi connection (coming in on the Intel Wifi card).
So I install ATT Comm Mgr ... and I don't really follow the rest of your instructions. I guess Connectify is acting as my wifi router ... do you think ATT Comm Mgr is going to help get the ATT signal to show up on Connectify?
