Question about Samsung LN52A650A LCD TV

My samsung tv wont connect to my ps3 through the hdmi cable, the tv works if i connect my laptop or anything else to it. iv tried my ps3 on my lg an it work just fine just cant get it to work on my samsung it did work a few months ago. please help its driving me crazy.

When you have PS3 connected to the TV with HDMI connector, hold the ps3 power button down for 5 seconds, when u hear 2 beeps, release it and it should display standard format on the TV, thats when you'll get the option to correct the picture mode for the PS3. Hope that helps.

did you use the audio in cable which is in your TV cause HDMI works video interface not a audio

The av2 input doesnt work
Look for any loose contacts in RC jacks/sockets/Cable. Connect another input on that input of the TV and check. Connect your ps3 to some other TV and check.

PS3 Connection problem with this particular tv model.
connect PS3 to Tv with RCA cables (white,red,yellow) go to display settings change to HDMI, Tv should go black remove RCA cables and connect with HDMI.

How do you use PS3 and DVD player with the Toshiba 32Dtu2 LCD TV?
The PS3 can be hooked up to the tv using either a HDMI cable or the old RCA (Yellow, Red, White) cables. If you are having problems viewing a picture or hearing sound, here is some trouble shooting you might want to try.

Connect the PS3 using both the HDMI and RCA cables. select the HDMI input on your tv. turn on the PS3. If you cant see a picture, press and hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps (this will take about 15 seconds). This resets the PS3 to the old RCA cables. Select the RCA input on your tv. Hopefully you can see the image and hear the PS3 now. Go to the settings on the PS3 and change the display settings to output video through the HDMI. Remember, your tv can only go as high as 1080i resolution, so you wont see anything if you select the 1080p resolution.

If this didn't work, you might have a bad signal though the HDMI cable. Unplug the tv and PS3 for atleast 30 minutes, and then connect the PS3 to the tv before you turn either one on.

If this doesn't help, then you might have a HDMI cable that isn't recognized by either your PS3 or your tv. Try replacing your HDMI cable.

I have my ps3 connected using a HDMI cable to my hd tele. the ps3 turns on and powers up but my tele keeps saying no signal. the rest of the tele channels are fine, but my ps3 channel wont display...
try connecting your ps3 to aonther tv via hdmi, if it does not work then the hdmi port of your ps3 has a problem.

LG HT502 wont recognize hdmi cable. it says hdmi
go into the video setup menu, and select HDMI set up and select "ON" that should do it

How would i know if my HDMI ports are working or not?? Tried to connect a PS3 to it but nothing. Thought it may have been the cable so checked someones that i know is working and still nothing. Checked...
As you already checked PS3 and HDMI cable,
select HDMI input in TV and connect PS3 via HDMI cable. TV should show PS3 picture.
And if still no joy then HDMI input port in TV is bad and need to replace input board/ main board.

With the PS3 and the TV properly connected and both units off turn on the TV and set the input to the proper HDMI setting then press and hold the power on button on the PS3 until it beeps twice. This should resolve your issue. Please let me know how it works for you.

Well your PS3 Can't connect with your TV to the Samsung, because PS3 Was made HD Blu-Ray. If your TV/Samsung is not supported by High Def. or Blu-Ray, it will not work, you will need a different HDMI Cable, and it should work fine.

It wont run through HDMI
Follow the guy aboves solution to reset your Ps3 to 480i. Turn the power to the system off from the switch on the back and then when you flip it back have the power button held down on the front of the system. This only resets the picture doesn't change anything else or erase any games, I had to do it and it works!!
