Canon i560 - Jammed, but no Paper

I got an error message while printing a large document this morning, that my printer is jammed. However, there is no sign of any jammed papaer anywhere in the machine. I have unplugged and replugged, and even re-installed the printer drivers, but no luck. Please advise.
Thanks,
Paula

Thanks Alvibga! I had the same problem which was solved by persistently looking for a piece of pesky paper. I finally found a tiny beetle which had got lodged on the small black lever (right hand side of rollers when veiwing from the front) which must indicate that paper is still in the machine. Removed the beetle with care and voila! 100% again. Great printer - I've had it for 4 years!

If there is no sign of paper then a paper sensor either fell out of place or is defective. Look real good for paper some times a peice of paper can be tucked in out of sight.

Jam inside top cover 13.05.00 also change fuser assembly

To remove paper jam. Just remove the toner cartridge and pullout jammed paper. If still coming paper jammed error message. Switch of the printer and the printer will roll over the paper jammed.

Changing of fuser drum is required if the print out came with the black strips. This happens when you print large volume of printing jobs.

My Canon MP530 indicates that I have a paper jam. There is no paper jam - I have checked and re-checked and turned it off and on several times and it is still reading that there is a paper jam. How do I...

Hello there You may not see a paper jam.
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

My Canon i 560 s will not print and this is the error message, I followed instructions, no change, won't print, yellow light flashes ,"Operator error. Press the printer's RESUME button. If this doesn't...

Turn off your PC, turn off the printer. Open the printer and check for paper jams, push/pull the ink cartridge carrier left to right to ensure it also isn't jammed.

Only use a small amount of paper (10 sheets). Too much paper can sometimes block the feeder

Turn everything back on, try again.

Printer is not working

Try pushing the print head carriage with a bit of gentle force. It is getting stuck, and hence the error. You may have to open side and top covers to reach this. Note: this is not the cartridges, but another device that moves back and forth on the slider carriage.
