I have a 72 inch Samsung DLP Model HL72A650. The TV clicks on/off, now no picture, and the standby/temp, lamp, and timer lights blink on and off. I hear a recycling type of clicking noise. What is the problem?

Check the lamp if you havent changed it before that would be the easiest place to start. if the lamp is popped you will see glass pieces rolling around in the lamp.

Viewsonic projector Pro 8200 will not start / get out of standby mode

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Hello I have a Samsung TV Model# HL50A650C1FXZA I have 3 lights blinking 2 green and 1 red light what is the problem

Hello, I try to help. But your questions not spesific.
Below are conditions lamp indicators that appear blinking and solutions:

1. If Timer and Lamp blinking --> Auto timer on/off was been set, picture will appear ~ 25 second.
2. If Timer and Standby/Temp blinking --> A cooling fan inside the set is not operating properly.
3. If Lamp and Standby/Temp blinking --> The lamp cover on the rear of the set is not installed properly.

I hope that solve your problem.
Thanks.

The tv turns on but then shuts down. will not stay on, any ideas why?

If its Sony KDF-42WE655 TV then it has self diagnostic feature and if it gets any problem inside, its red light will start blinking in specific numbers to show an error code.
Let me know how many times its red standby light blinking between 3 seconds interval.

I own a Samsung HL-R5067W 50'' DLP. Set is about 3 years old. Recently I heard a loud pop while viewing, picture distorted, but never went blank. I turned set off. When turned on again a loud whining noise...

Check your color wheel. There is a DIY guide for replacing the color wheel. Mine did the same thing yours is and my color wheel was all busted up. Unfortunately after replacing the color wheel my set continues to do the same thing, but this could mean I need to replace the ballast as well.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
