Our LG 37LH5000 is just over 1 year old . The auto tune set up facility when first installed worked perfect , storing all the channels it found. The tv has never been turned off at the mains from that day , always at the tv switch only , and has been perfect. We had a power cut throughout the night recently for approx 3 hours . When the tv was turned on next morning it briefly showed AV1 top left of the screen and then says no signal. I have repeatedly gone thru the auto setup procedure but cannot get it to store any channels at all, even turning the tv on to stand by , then on still loses all channels. I have even gone from a factory reset position thru to final auto set up with no luck . Can you tell me please if this is a common problem after having an interuption at the mains supply , even with the tv turned off . Or am I not doing something I should to confirm the store facility ?

When the tv is set to av1, it means the tuner is not being used, press the input/source button on the remote or tv itself. it should work fine.

I m having a problem with lg led le5300 26'' it is not catching any signal it has stopped playing any channel i have tried auto tuning so many times but no channel found.

Make sure your cable/antennae connection is OK and you're getting signal from over there by connecting another (working) tv set to it.

hi your signal could be to strong, on the aerial cable the thin brad rap 4 strands around the center solid pin then retune in auto, if this does not work you may to manual tune it in, or get someone to check your aerial and you could try a firmware update on your tv hope it helps

Cant retune through dvd player

Sounds like a few things going on here... Your indoor antenna for one is probably not making it easy for you as an outdoor antenna will work a whole lot better. This is why it open picks up half the channels and they are pixelating. Also you may have faulty rf leads. Replace these.

How do i tune the channels on a toshiba rc3910

Hi
Before tuning the set to auto tune mode, make sure the antenna or cable, whatever may, connected to its appropriate sockets at the back of the set firmly. To make it autotune:

As new services are broadcast, it will be necessary to

re-tune the television in order to view them.

Auto Tuning will completely re-tune the television

and can be used to update the channel list. It is

recommended that Auto Tuning is run periodically to
ensure that all new services are added. All current

channels and settings, i.e. locked channels, will be
lost.

[1] Select the SETUP from the main menu by using

Up or Down buttons. Press OK and Setup menu
will be displayed.

[2] Select the Installation from the Setup menu

by using Up or Down buttons. Press OK and
Installation menu will be displayed.

]3] Select Automatic Channel Scan from the Installation

menu by using Up or Down buttons and press OK.

A screen will appear warning that previous digital

programmes and settings will be deleted. Select Yes
and press OK to continue with the Auto tuning.

The television will start to search for all available

stations. You must allow the television to complete

the search. When the search is complete the Auto

tuning screen will display the total number of
services found.

* After search is completed for digital channels, a

message asking whether to search for analogue
channels appears on the screen

** Press the OK button to search for analogue

channels. The following menu appears on the screen
for analogue channel search
OK.

When you are auto tuning the system will not store a channel which is week by its standard ( at least 60% signal strength ) This done to avoid grainy picture and hissy sound.
You can go into manual tuning and store it.

Vason 10.4 inch portable tv tuning problem

I returned my original TV/DVD to the suppliers who then sent me a new one.
I experienced exactly the same tuning problem with the new TV.
The only way I could tune it, was by using the fine tune facility to find and store the missing stations. This took a lot of time and continuous button pushing, so patience is essential.
Once found and stored, the previously missing channels are perfect.
It would appear that the DVD player doesn't like DVD- recordings from my home recorder. If they are re-coded they work.
Anything recorded on DVD+ is fine.
In my opinion this is a good unit let down by a couple of niggling faults.
