That's a pretty vague, and non-descriptive error to attempt to assist with, and could relate to a whirlpool of problems being caused, from improper hear placement, mis-aligned heads, clogged heads, empty cartidges, a shortage, irregular voltage, a power issue, and many many other things. That's one of those "hands on" kind of problems unless it's giving you a code or making some abnormal sounds.

Yes. PIXMA MP610 is a multifunction printer that has printer/copier/scanner capabilities.
Just install the software and drivers supplied with your printer (or download them from CANON ) and connect the printer do the computer.
The printer sofware will guide you through the operation of scanning an image and saving it to a a file in the computer.

5110 ERREOR is carraige cant life. this can be down to a few things, carriage is stuck on the purge unit or the logic board is at fault. best to take it to a Canon dealer for repair or contact a supporter dealer who can do a chargeable call for you. in the uk i have few contacts . hope this helps
